Six Things That God Hates: Seven Are An Abomination

It is the flesh that leads someone to live against the will of God. When a person has not given their life over to Jesus, they easily stumble and do things that God hates. These people act out because they’d rather follow their own heart, though it is evil in the sight of God. And if you think yourself to be a Christian, then make sure you do not also fall into this group of people. 1“These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him”. 1. 1“A proud look.” 2. 1“A lying tongue.” 3. 1“Hands that shed innocent blood.” 4. 1“An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations.” 5. 1“Feet that be swift in running to mischief.” 6. 1“A false witness that speaketh lies”. 7. 1“He that soweth discord among brethren.” If any of these characteristics are in your life than you are not saved. This shows your disobedience to God’s commands and not your love for Him or your fellow men and women Your wickedness is on full display and unless you repent and come to Christ, you will perish in your unbelief. Only Jesus can change the person you are now and help you walk differently.

Please take into consideration that there are seven things that God hates. I will now examine these things further. 1. 1“A proud look.” To think of yourself better than another person or to think you know more and then look down upon others is wrong. Do not scorn another person but be found lifting them up. God cannot trust a person that thinks of themselves highly. 2. 1“A lying tongue.” To lie to one another is not the fruits of a child of God. Be truthful with other people and God will be able to use to do His will. How can God trust you if you cannot tell the truth? 3. 1“Hands that shed innocent blood.” This is not just speaking about people that kill or someone that is innocent and you allow them to be tried anyways. It is also speaking about killing an unborn innocent baby in abortion. If you are involved with these things than God’s wrath is upon you. 4. 1“An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations.” This is someone that yields to temptation and justifies their wicked deeds. What they come up with is evil and puts down the commands of God. God would never use somebody that hated His laws like this.

The second half of the things God hates, continues with, 5. 1“Feet that be swift in running to mischief.” These are those that act in the lust of the flesh. They do not yield to temptation but give themselves over to porn and other sexual sins, drugs and alcohol. 2This quenches the Spirit and God cannot use a person like this. 6. 1“A false witness that speaketh lies”. This is about knowing the truth and still doing things to lead others astray. These lies will speak out against the person in judgement. God surely can never use a false witnesses do His will. 7. 1“He that soweth discord among brethren.” This seventh thing is an abomination to God. For you to make a child of God stumble in the faith is terrible. We are to build up one another and not tear them down. When people are bitter against one another other people they often feel judged. God can never use a person who is acting this way, instead of showing love. Please understand that God’s will is important. And we can never be used by God unless we submit to Him fully. Allow the Lord to change your wicked heart and He will heal you.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, help us all to yield to your will and no longer be given over to temptation. Help us put down all our pride at Your feet. May we all rather lift You up then lift ourselves up over another. Help us say what is true and no longer lie to deceive one another. May our hands be made clean through Your blood and no longer do things to hurt others. If anyone is considering abortion, may they know that life is precious and it is killing innocent blood. May our desires be yours and no longer give into things that seem right. May the imaginations of our hearts be to serve You above all else and all our vain imaginations be put down to rest. Take away all the lust from our hearts. If anyone is caught up in pornography, or other sexual sins, lead them to repentance. If people are deep in drugs or alcohol addiction, help them also resist and be made clean. May our hearts be yielded to the Spirit and walk there in. If we are or have been a false witness to another, let this be stopped in its tracks. Give us over to You, that we may be a true witness for Your glory. And Lord, help us all to love one another. May we be slow to anger and give all judgements over to you. Help us to love others as You love us. May anyone living outside your will be healed, as they submit their lives to You now. I love You Lord. Amen.
