It is so good to pray. We become humble before the Lord, when we call upon His Name. It is showing our faith in God and giving all our questions, concerns and thanksgiving over to Him. Let us come before the living God, now, and admit that our flesh is weak and have need of a Savior. Acknowledge that your flesh is weakened without Him. Express your need for His strength. Confess your sins before God and plead for His forgiveness and mercy. Allow Him to change your wicked ways. And once the Lord has come into your life, seek Him often, that you may continue to be strengthened every day. Come to God and ask Him to hear your prayer and give ear to your cries. That you may continue to be faithful and not fall into the traps of the enemy. In this new life, there will be struggles and we need the guidance of the Lord to stay strong. The devil would have you 1“dwell in darkness”, that sin may abound. Understand that we are targeted and therefore many people are weak and fall into the traps of Satan. This can happen to the very elect of God. Only the Lord can strengthen us daily that we may not be among 1“those that have been long dead” in their own flesh. When your spirit is feeling overwhelmed and desolate, make room for God that He may usher in the peace that you need.
Pray this hour and cry out to God. Stretch forth your hands to heaven and say, 1“my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land.” 1“Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.” Help God know that you are a weaker vessel without Him. Let Him know that you need Him to be strong. Every hour does my soul long for the strength that only comes from above. I cannot replace the love that comes from the Father. There is no imitation for true love, for God’s love never ends. We can’t be faithful on our own will. As you wake up for a new day, come and be filled by His 1“lovingkindness in the morning.” For in Christ do we trust. He is our Lord and causes us to know the right way wherein we should walk. Lift your voice unto Him, and He will send the Holy Spirit to lead you. Come unto Jesus, that you may know the will of God and not fall flat on your face in temptation. In prayer, cry out and say, 1“deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.” Only through the Lord can we be delivered from the temptations of sin. He also causes us to escape from those that persecute us. Through the power of God, we are taught and led to do His will. Even in trouble, the Lord helps us through it. Thank You Lord.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, every day is my flesh tempted by the things of this world. I am so grateful that You are with me that I am strong to resist. Without You, my flesh is weak and I am unable to stand. Through reading the Bible and much prayer, I am blessed with Your awesome presence. Thank You for coming into my life and showing me the way. You have become my sword and shield when it comes to temptation. I can fight against it because I am strong in the Lord. You fill my soul up with much courage to fight against the enemy. I know the ways of this world is cunning and so many fall into its traps. Only You could open my eyes to its filth. You have led me from darkness and into Your light. Now I know how lost the world is. Shine Your light in my life always, that other people may find the way also. Let me be an example of Your truth and love. I love You Lord. Amen.
