Many times, we have to be reminded of all the many blessings that we receive from God on a daily basis. But why is this so? Why is it that a family member, friend, co-worker, or a stranger has to make it known to us how blessed we really are before we even see it for ourselves? There is a simple answer. Nowadays, people get so consumed with their lifelong wants and needs that they forget to realize what they truly have. They are so consumed with their phones to even see the blessings all around them. If you are married, then you are blessed. If you have kids, then you are blessed. If you have a home, then you are blessed. If you have a car, then you are blessed. If you have food to eat, then you are blessed. If your sins have been forgiven by the blood of Jesus, then you are very blessed. Many people wish they were married. Many married people wish they had kids. Many people don’t have a home to keep them warm. Many people are not so lucky to have a car. So many people are starving because of the lack of food and contaminated water. So many people are lost and are drifting on a path to destruction. Your relationship with the Lord makes you very blessed, indeed. If you fall into any of these categories above, then you are blessed more then you will ever know. Especially, if you have been forgiven and are now on the right path to God. The Lord God is the giver of all good things. Will you now gives thanks to the Lord for His blessings? Give thanks, for 1“his mercy endureth for ever”.
The Lord is so good to us. And because of His goodness, He never forgets to poor out His blessings upon His elect. His children are precious in His sight. 2You and I are children of God, through our faith in Christ. If you have committed your life to follow Jesus, then His mercy is upon you. You and I are adopted into God’s kingdom. What a blessing and an honor it is to dwell in the presence of the Lord. I was so lost in the pleasures of this world but God has brought me out of it. I was rescued from my sins and addictions. All my guilt and shame has turned into joy and love. 1“O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good.” My heart cannot keep my thanks from God. All praise and glory forever to Jesus, our King. I feel just as David did, when he wrote, 1“I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” Much prayer has led me to walk differently. The Holy Spirit leads me on the righteous path. I’ve been taken from darkness and brought into God’s holy light. I know now that 1“it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” I will never put my trust in the things of this world again, over God. The Lord is my helper and friend. He 1“is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.” I rejoice in my Savior. I am blessed to be married and have kids and acknowledge the Lord’s hand in it all. I have shelter and transportation and give thanks. I have food to eat because the Lord has supplied it. Thank You Lord.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, all my blessings come from You. You are the bearer of all good things. I give thanks for my many blessings I receive from You daily. You are continually moving in my life, that I might know the way. I am safe, because You are there by my side. Thank You for the cross. Thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for Your sacrifice. I am cleansed by Your blood. I was blind but can now see. You have taken me from a life of sin and brought me into Your light. Only You could free me from my bondage. I am grateful for my family. I am grateful to have shelter. I am grateful to have food to eat. You have poured out Your blessings upon me, oh Lord. Not only this, but You have made me stronger. I was weak in the things of this world but now I am strong in the faith. Your words strengthen me and speak to my soul. I love You. I praise Your holy Name. Amen.
