Those that walk in the ways of the Lord are blessed beyond measure. They are guided by the Holy Spirit and the light of Christ is within them. There is peace and joy in their hearts. The presence of God fulfills their lives. They are filled each day in God’s word. His words come to life as they read. They cannot get enough of His words. They lift up their souls with gladness. In prayer they find rest. God’s counsel gives them wisdom. Just to have His guidance is a wondrous gift to their lives. Psalm 1 reads, 1“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night”. All those that live for God are strengthened daily. There course is heaven for they have been made righteous by the blood of the Lamb. 3Jesus is their Savior and has made them white as snow. If you are not on God’s path, then repent and make things right today. Do not delay the day of your salvation. There are better days ahead of you if you choose to follow Jesus. This world will only offer a taste of happiness but God will deliver you eternal happiness. The lusts of the flesh will only bring death to the soul but God’s love will bring us newness of life. 2If you are walking in sin then judgement will be terrifying after death but if you are made clean through confession of your sins then it will be a magnificent time to be with Jesus. We have two choices to make, walk in the ways of the ungodly or walk in the ways of the Lord. 1“The ungodly shall perish”, but God’s chosen will be eternally blessed in the Kingdom of Heaven.
This life is short. Be grateful for everyday that the Lord gives you breath. If you have delayed your repentance be grateful that God has not shortened your life, in order to be saved. You could have been destined for hell, a long time ago, but the Lord has lengthened your days in order for you to turn from your wickedness and come to Him. Make this day, the day you deny yourself and follow Jesus. Let the Lord take all your burdens away. Let Him cut down your chains of addiction. Seek Him in words and deeds and He will do marvelous things in your life. You will be changed from death to life. His love will penetrate your soul like you never knew was possible. His fire will give you new direction and hope for a new day. Make this day a new day to follow Jesus. Seek Him often in prayer and Bible study. Meditate on His words and His laws. Listen to His counsel for your life. God surely knows best for each of us. His commandments are meant to draw us closer to Him. Love Him and His ways. Your fruit is laid up in heaven. His promises are fulfilled for those that love Him.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, Your ways are just and true. Your judgement is righteous. You saved me from an eternal destruction in hell. I will never be so grateful for Your patience for me. I was utterly lost by the lusts of the flesh and had no way out until You came for me. Thank You for waiting on me for so long. You heard my cries and had mercy upon my soul. Thank You, for this second chance at life. Though my heart was once full of shame, You replaced it with Your love. I will never understand what You’ve done for me. I love Your ways. Your words delight my soul. I love You. Amen.
