I pray that every person that says they are a Christian loves God’s commandments. For everyone that does so truly are God’s children. They are in His fold and God is there Shepherd. They love His ways for they delight their soul. How are the commandments in your life? What does God’s laws mean to you? Do you know them and keep them sacred? 1The 10 commandments are, 1 Thou shalt have no other gods before Me, 2 Thou shalt not make any graven image nor bow down to them, 3 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, 4 Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy, 5 Honour thy father and thy mother, 6 Thou shalt not kill, 7 Thou shalt not commit adultery, 8 Thou shalt not steal, 9 Thou shalt not bear false witness, 10 Thou shalt not covet. The first five commandments are summoned up in 3“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart.” The last five commandments are summoned up in 3“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Remember God’s law and keep them close to Your heart. Once God has taught you in His ways, walk in them by word and in deed. If He hasn’t restored you from death to life yet, let Him do so. You may be walking astray now, but there is redemption. He can heal your heart and brake your chains. He can free you from a fallen lifestyle. Once you taste God’s goodness you will 2“hate every false way.” Just as David said, 2“Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them,” it will feel amazing to walk in His light and to live in His holiness.
My soul delights in the precepts of my God. His laws are my comfort and keep me safe. I feel so close to Him when I am walking in His ways. My heart cries out, 2“I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.” His words are like candy to my ears. What is most amazing is that I can live in His light every day that I seek Him. He lights up my path and casteth out all darkness. I may have fallen in the ways of addiction in the past but that has been replaced by God’s great love in my heart. When I think upon His commandments I am caught up in awe and wonder. I pray that each day I might better follow them. I have learned that we honor the Father when we obey His laws. He knows we are His children when we love His ways. I was once lost in my adulterous lifestyle but the Lord freed me from my sinful ways. I broke the seventh commandment often in my lust for women. Nothing could free me from the wickedness in my heart but Jesus. I confessed my sins openly and He had mercy. He took me in with open arms. I felt His forgiveness and tender mercies. His commandments now have meaning in my life. I no longer want to disrespect my God in heaven by acting out.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, You are good. Your ways are just and true. You know how we ought to live to be truly happy in this life. I never found true happiness until I discovered Your great love for me. Your grace has taken me from darkness into Your light. Though my life was once given to the things of the flesh, my shield is now raised. In Your light, all I desire is to serve You. My life is Yours. Give me understanding. I love Your counsel. Your ways are my ways. I love You. Amen.
Let us read the Bible:

1Exodus 20:3-17 (KJV)
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
2Psalm 119:1127-131 (KJV)
127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.
128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.
129 Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.
130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
131 I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.
3Matthew 22:35-40 (KJV)
35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
