There is no greater joy than to serve my King in heaven. Jesus is Lord of my life and His love is for real. It is life changing. It has the power to bring us from darkness into His light. Nothing on earth can save us but Jesus. He is the way to eternal life. Tonight, many seeds were planted through tracts, many people were prayed over and lives were given to the Lord. As tracts were handed out, many people were not accepting the truth but others were. I’d hear “no thanks”, “it’s not for me” and others “thank you so much”. One thing I know is that some people are ready to accept the good news of Jesus in their hearts and others are not. I just pray that more people are convicted of what the Holy Spirit has to say, through us, and come to Jesus. As people went by I proclaimed that God loves them. That Jesus paid for our sins on the cross. That if they come unto Him and turn from their sins then they will be forgiven. Many people may have denied the privilege to know Him tonight but at least they were able to hear His message of hope. We can have hope that some of these people will one day turn to God. That these seeds will find root in their hearts. One person that I handed out a tract to was so excited. He asked me where I went to church and I told him Calvary Chapel. He said He went to the Vineyard Church and 2 years ago he gave his life to Christ. He told me how for once in his life he felt clean. That God changed him from the inside out. You could see the glow in his face as he spoke of the Lord. He was so grateful to see us giving out tracts for he knew that the gospel of Jesus will have a lasting impression on people’s lives. Because of this man, I know that sharing the gospel is worth it. Even if one person gives their life to Jesus out of thousands it is worth hours of sharing the good news.
As the night went on we met many homeless that were ripe for the harvest and to receive Jesus. They were each going through hard times but knew that God could give them strength. This one man, I saw on a bench, and approached him. I could see the humbleness in his eyes. He was so ready to receive the message of Jesus. After giving him some food we talked about how Jesus is the way to heaven. That life is hard but He pulls us through it. Even when it seems most difficult he helps us find our way. I encouraged him to pray often and seek God for he would answer his prayers. He is just waiting to receive us. I then asked if he had a Bible and he said no. So I offered him one and he received it. He said he had fallen away from God but was ready to come back. I know that his willingness to read the Bible is that step he needs to find true happiness. Before we left him, we prayed that he would get off the streets and find a job. We walked a little further and passed out more tracts until I saw another homeless lady that I knew from weeks past. So I went and sat down with her and gave her some food and a hat. We then conversed about her week before I left her a message from Revelation 21. It reads, “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain”. As we read these verses God’s peace fell down upon us. We were comforted to know that if we live for Jesus all our pains and sufferings are over in heaven. Thank You Lord for this night. So many seeds were planted because of You. You led us to so many people to talk to. I could see their hearts be convicted by the Holy Spirit. I pray that many of these people will be saved and turn to You, Jesus. I love You.
Revelation 21:1-7 (KJV)
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
