I thank the Lord this night for bringing people in my path to share His love with them. God put it on my heart tonight to go downtown Boise and share His love with the lost. In my heart I can see how much this world needs Jesus. People are missing out if He isn’t at the center of their lives. For this purpose I went out with two other men to share His gospel message and pray for people. My desire is to not to keep His message to myself but to share it with others. Though tonight was cold we were able to talk to a few people about Jesus before the night ended. This homeless man needed a prayer for safety for his wife and that they’d be able to have money for rent. He told us that He had been out of work for 5 years and wished for a change to happen in his life. So the three of us put our hands on his shoulders and prayed for him and his wife. We prayed that God’s peace would be with Him. We declared that Jesus loves him so much and will be with him as he seeks Him. We asked that God would protect him and his wife and that they would be watched over. That he would have the money he needs to take care of his wife. Before we left we asked him to put his trust in God. That He would supply his needs.
As the night went on, I was able to hand out a devotional card on Jesus to one lady who openly took one. Her words were, “I love Jesus, thank you for the card”. I am grateful that she accepted it and was willing to read the daily devotionals and come closer to Christ daily. After briefly talking with her in passing we met two men that were walking directly behind us. I had felt a tug in my heart to talk with them and shared this same desire with Patrick, who was with me. He then asked if they needed prayers this night. That then started this amazing conversation on Jesus. One of the guys was a Mormon and another a Catholic. Each of them talked about how Jesus was important to them. We went on to encourage them to continue seeking Him daily in prayer. That He is the only way to heaven. That religion doesn’t save us but Christ alone. Jesus is enough. It was wonderful that they give us their time to talk with them. I pray that their hearts were moved this night into seeking the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank You Lord for putting Your gospel message in my heart. Thank You for delivering these people in our paths this night. We were able to share Your love in boldness for Your Holy Spirit burns bright in our hearts. My interests are for others that they may be saved. I love You.
Philippians 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
