Out of love and respect, I want you to know that it is necessary to leave what is false behind. There is hope for people who are willing to give up things for the sake of Jesus. God has a better path prepared for us in Christ Jesus. Grace is given freely to those who believe in Christ alone. There will be trials, but in these trials, God will be with that person along the way. And with God in our lives, we experience great peace. Sure, there is the fear of losing a spouse in a divorce if they were to leave the church. Others in the family, and even friends may stop communicating with them for some time. This is because of new tensions that are in the air because of their departure from the church. Sure, people may start calling them up, while sending the bishop, elders, and missionaries to their homes. But all this is worth it. It may not seem this way in the beginning, but the day will come when it will. Salvation is realized when we begin to give up things for Christ's sake, although it may not be easy. This shows God that He matters more than anything else in this life. People may be upset with our decisions, but they need to know why it is necessary. To move on for the sake of Jesus and being saved, is the least we can do. This will lead you to want to be baptized in a Bible-believing church. Allowing God to become your true teacher is vital for salvation. Right now it may seem more comfortable to continue in the Mormon faith. But is it worth it to not be right with God and remain unsaved? Absolutely not. If Jesus says follow me, will people continue to follow men instead of Him? I hope not. It is better to be saved then to live a life that may seem comfortable. My friends, what is less intrusive upon our lives, are not always right for our lives in Christ Jesus.

Many people have weighed the decision of staying in the Mormon faith or leaving it behind. However, the majority have chosen to just stay in that religion for many different reasons. Resigning is out of the question to avoid a divorce, or lose their family and friends in the Mormon faith. Doing this is only digging a bigger hole for them in the afterlife. This is because once a person knows in their heart that something is wrong, they are accountable to God if they continue in it. These people were given reasons why their beliefs were wrong by way of the Bible, Christians, and the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, they willingly turned away from the Lord. Jesus knew this and said the following. It is written, “the lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” (Luke 12:46-48) As Jesus taught, those who die without having repented beforehand are guilty on judgment day. Come death is hell, where the lake of fire comes next after the great white throne judgment seat. Think about this outcome for a minute. Did you know that God has greater things in store for your life? He sure does, but only to those that are willing to lose everything to follow Him.

Will you give your life to follow Jesus? If so, then let me lead you in a prayer of salvation. Pray with me the following, "Father, I admit that I am a sinner and in need of a Savior. I have done wrong things and I am sorry. Forgive me, and wash me clean through the blood that You shed for us on the cross. I have believed in many things that were false, and I am sorry. Replace what is false with what is true. Help me believe in what is Biblically sound. Lead me by the Holy Spirit and to people who can help me in the faith. I am willing to learn from them. Help me find a good Bible-believing church, where I will hear sound doctrine. God, my desire is to know You, and to do what You say. I submit my life to follow You. Come into my life this day and forever. Lead me by the hand. I love You, Jesus. I give You praise! Amen." If you have prayed that prayer, then know that this is the first step of surrendering your life to Jesus. This prayer is just the beginning. Don't let your light be diminished. If you have not already, get rid of any book from Mormonism. This includes the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price. Discard those books as you please, and begin reading the Bible like a child. I would recommend reading from Matthew to Revelation first. This way you will understand the kingdom and church that Jesus set apart while on earth. How his church never failed, and stands strong today. After this reading, go back to Genesis and read those books also. The verses will make more sense after you read the New Testament. God bless you all on this new journey of following Jesus. Please know that religion does not save us but a relationship with Jesus does. Amen.
