Angels and Jesus are a lot alike, except for Jesus being God. They can both transform their bodies and simply appear in a room if they want to.
Much like Moses parted the Red Sea, Elijah and Elisha parted the river Jordan in a similar fashion by the hand of the living God.

Like Jesus did, we can say, “get thee behind me, Satan”. These are not just words, but come with power and authority from God.

So, as the story of the transfiguration continued, two key prophets from the Old Testament appeared. Namely, Moses and Elijah.
