Proverbs 16:18,19

Proverbs 16:18,19 (KJV)
18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Proverbs 16:16,17

Proverbs 16:16,17 (KJV)
16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

Today’s Prayer (07/10/2018)

Daily Prayer:
Oh Lord, I pray for this country and the people that live here. I also pray for other countries that are governed over by kings, emperors and other rulers. I know that we do not all have proper rule upon our lands and our we need Your help. Please come to these men and women by messengers, church, the Bible, prayer and dreams. I pray that one of these avenues may stir them up to do good for the people that they rule over. May they see the wrongs that have been made with certain laws and may they attempt to undo these wrongs. I pray that they come to understand what is good in Your sight and no longer stand for what is wicked. Even if it takes new leaders to step in and do the right thing, I pray that it happens and that person will put You first in their lives. May every ruler that loves You strive to keep God in the pledge, the dollar bill, and other things. May they stand up to abolish abortion and same sex marriages. I know that all things are possible when high officials come to an understanding of Your laws. Your ways are higher and I pray that these people will choose to do what is right for us all. I trust in You God. I love You. Amen.

Kings, Presidents And All Rulers

When a person is no longer ruling over the land, because of their own ambitions, but for the good of the people, there is peace.

Deuteronomy 31:6-8

Deuteronomy 31:6-8 (KJV)

7 And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
8 And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Proverbs 16:6,7

Proverbs 16:6,7 (KJV)
6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.
7 When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Proverbs 16:1-3

Proverbs 16:1-3 (KJV)
1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.
2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.
3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Today’s Prayer (07/09/2018)

Daily Prayer:
Oh Lord, we need You. We know that we have let You down so many times, but we are sorry. We need Your mercy and forgiveness in our lives. Hear our cries and confessions, this day. Please give us over to Your mercy and grace. We long for Your healing hands to come into our lives and give us freedom from sin. Help break the chains of addiction. Lead us away from every evil way. Whatever is holding us down, come and snatch us free. No longer allow the evil one to have control over our lives. We desire to live in Your light and no longer be bound in darkness. Help us overcome every temptation that comes our way. You have the power to raise us up and give us the strength we need to overcome it. Surely, we are stronger with You in our lives. With Your hand, we can walk safely on the path of righteousness. I trust in You Lord and know that You can do all things in my life. Lead me always in Your ways. Direct my paths all the days of my life. I love You. Amen.

Today’s Prayer (07/08/2018)

Daily Prayer:
Lord God, thank You for coming into my life. Thank You for listening to my prayers. I need You Lord. You are my Savior and without You I am dead. I need Your direction in life so that I do not fall back into the bondage of sin. As for my old life, I hope to keep in the past, and continue with this new slate that You have given me. And I know that I cannot do this on my own. I need Your continued guidance and direction in my life. Otherwise, I will stumble through life and continually fall into temptation. Lord, I do not wish to fall into willful sin but to serve You, all the days of my life. Help the members of my body conform to Your ways and to do Your will. My flesh is weak but I am strong in You, Lord. Your presence builds up my faith and I can stand valiantly before You and others. With this faith, I am able to fight against the evil one. Yes God, I can do all things through You. I love Your ways, I just need You to lead me. May Your Holy Spirit shine down upon me, that others may also see this life change and seek after You also. I love You Lord. Amen.

It Is Wise To Follow Jesus

This new way of life, through Christ Jesus, helps us know what is good and what is evil. Because the Bible is so plain about these things, we are able to better choose what is right.

Statement Of Faith

I am pleased to announce that the “Statement Of Faith” page is now available for Daily Christian Devotionals. Please visit the page and let me know what you think.

Mark 12:24,25

Mark 12:24,25 (KJV)
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

Today’s Prayer (07/07/2018)

Daily Prayer:
Oh Lord, please open and soften the hearts of Mormons. May they become more zealous for what is true. Help them seek for answers instead of just accepting what they believe is true. May they start reading the Bible daily, that Your truths, can flow deep into their hearts. I know that when I was in that church I thought I knew the truth of God, but when I truly started to read Your words, I was shown differently. It was then, that Your wisdom began to fill my heart, I had answers to many things but also questions about my faith. You opened my eyes to Your truths while also showing me the deception I was under. I began to find out that there are teachings of men that I needed to stray away from. And if any teaching was contrary to the Bible, I was to leave it immediately and no longer be a part of it. Thank You for showing me these things. Though it was hard to leave a faith that I was raised in, I knew it was for the best. I’d rather follow Your teachings than to find comfort in a church that does not save. Now, I am on solid ground. You are my hope and whom I trust for answers. Thank You for showing me the way. I love You. Amen.

Rescued From The Mormon Church

Only through God can we be safe in this life. Through Him and His Words, in the Bible, we can know what is truth and be led safely on His path, that leads to heaven.

Philippians 2:13-15

Philippians 2:13-15 (KJV)
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Philippians 2:12,13

Philippians 2:12,13 (KJV)
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 2:2-5

Philippians 2:2-5 (KJV)
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Today’s Prayer (07/06/2018)

Daily Prayer:
Lord, help me to continue to live out my life, while strong in the faith. Give me the strength to carry on. Help me to not be tempted and fall into sin. May my faith be continually raised up, that I may fight against sin and the ways of wickedness. Please send Your Holy Spirit to guide me. I need Your direction, God. Help me to continually look to You in faith and to love others as much as I love You. May Your love flow through my veins and into the lives of everyone that I touch. May more people be uplifted and cared for as You work through my life. Lead me to people in need. Help me to show kindness and compassion towards them. May I know their needs and love on them, as You love on me. Have Your way inside of me, that I may better follow You and treat others with respect. I pray that Your light will shine down upon me. May others see this joy in my life and seek it for themselves. I know that only You give us the happiness we need. What You give never ends and that is what I strive for. I love You. Amen.

Christian Characteristics

The early church members are a great example of how a Christian ought to live a life for Christ. When I say ought to, it means desire to live righteously and get off of the path of wickedness.

Ephesians 2:1-5

Ephesians 2:1-5 (KJV)
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Luke 8:11-13

Luke 8:11-13 (KJV)
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

Matthew 10:21,22

Matthew 10:21,22 (KJV)
21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
