Heaven and hell are often known among people of all religions. Not that people believe in these two places, but that someone has once told them. What people don’t understand is that the wicked first go to hell come death and await judgment. Then comes the great white throne judgment seat, of which people from hell will find out that their names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life. Jesus will then tell them, “depart from me”, and so the angels will drag them and toss them into the lake of fire, which is the second death. This includes every willful sinner that practices sorcery, is a blatant liar, unbelievers, those who do abominable things like homosexuality, whoremongers, like those who look at porn, have sex outside of marriage and commit adultery. Murderers are also there. Davie wrote, “the heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken. The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” (Psalm 9:15-17)
Many people who go to hell are those who do not help the needy. However, those who are believers help those in need. While in this life people may be very poor but in heaven they will be richer than any other person on earth. They will also be much better off then any other person now, for they won’t experience any more pain, sorrow, or death. Our place of rest for Christians is a place of utter joy and happiness, for God’s love is forever with us. We will first go to paradise when we die and then await our rewards judgment. At this point, we will receive our new resurrected bodies, like the wicked will. Unfortunately, they will feel pain, while we will be free from it. Heaven is then our destination, where God, the angels and all believers exist. David wrote, “for the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever. Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.” (Psalm 9:18-20) The fear of God is in us as we respect God enough to live for Him. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I know that Your judgements are very severe when it comes to the wicked. I also know that the judgments set forth for the righteous are nothing but good. The wicked have dug themselves into their own pits while in this life, where the righteous have dedicated their lives to follow You and so they are transformed. You have covered us through Your blood, Jesus, while everyone else will have to pay for their own sins in hell. I do not wish this punishment upon anyone, especially people I love and respect in this life. I have experienced Your love and am so happy that Your wrath is no longer upon me. Thank You for seeing my potential and the person I am now and not the person I once was. You saw the person I would become and thank God, that You have done a mighty work in my life. If I am transformed through the Holy Spirit, then You have done it all. I believe in You, Jesus, for salvation. There is no other way we can be saved but through believing in You alone. There is so much wickedness in this world. Thankfully, we have Your protection in our lives. Lead us from temptation. I love You. Amen.
