If a Mormon missionary, friend, or person comes to talk to you about their faith, do not listen to them. Their message is manmade, corrupt, and goes against God. This does more harm than not. A false doctrine that is leading many people to hell is the great apostasy. They teach that since the Church of Christ fell away from the earth, because of the apostles and prophets dying off, it needed to be restored at a later point in time. That time would be around 1820 with Joseph Smith saw two demonic spirits in the woods, which appeared to be God the Father and Jesus. Interesting, since nobody can see the Father. This account is written below. “I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.” (Joseph Smith History v19) This is exactly what Satan would tell people. Start your own church under my guidance and tell people not to join any other church, for they are all evil. Wow. Satan really pulled a fast one and people didn’t even notice.
Mormons like to use a specific verse in order to prove the apostasy occurred. They twist the following verse in order to teach their false doctrine. “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3) However, they don’t realize that this verse is talking about the anti-christ and those who rebel against God, not that His church would fall. The verses continue and say, “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” (2 Thessalonians 2:4) It is made certain that what Joseph Smith heard was of the devil. This is because Jesus’s church would never fall away. “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:17,18) If Jesus says His church would never fail, then you better believe what He says. Mormons would like you to believe that the priesthood was restored, but this is also a lie. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people of the Mormon church will wake up to their false teachings before it is too late. Surely, I don’t want any of them sharing their false doctrines with any person who is a Christian or not. They are leading people down the path of destruction and it needs to stop. Do what You will so that people in this cult will come to their senses and come out of it for Your sake. I say come out of Mormonism in the name of Jesus. You have the power to save them from their false beliefs, pride, and idolatry. Surely, pride cometh before destruction. They may be hard-hearted towards Christians who only want to share Your truth with them, but this can also change over time. I have to believe, God, that You are doing all You can to rescue as many Mormons from hell as You can. People in Your kingdom are on the streets talking to many people who are Mormon and, unfortunately, little fruit has been seen firsthand from these efforts. I would like to say that we have seen many people come out of this false religion, but I cannot know this for certain. All I know, God, is that seeds were planted with every person I talked with when it comes to the gospel. You have opened my mouth and many lives have been changed through the Holy Spirit. I believe in You, God. I love You, Lord. Amen.
