I am so happy that the Lord took me out of Mormonism back in 2012. Back then I not only had many false beliefs that were not Biblical in any means, but I also lived in darkness, which is so bad. Thankfully, God has saved a wretch like me and brought me into His marvelous light. I think back and can’t even believe I would get caught up in certain things like works for the dead in the Mormon Temples, and also how much me and my family enjoyed the dark arts of Halloween. Not only is doing baptisms, endowments, and marriage ceremonies for dead people so wrong and blasphemy to God, but their desire to bring darkness into their church tops it off. Every year, many people in the Mormon cult have competitions of how evil their house can look like on Halloween. Even today, my sister sent me many pictures of her family, and my aunt’s house that is decked out in satanic-like decorations. Things like giant eyeballs staring at you from every corner with fang-like teeth, skeletons, jack-o-lanterns, spiders, bats, gravestones, and more. It is so dark and sick and wrong, but my family thinks it is harmless and all for fun. This is exactly how I once felt being a part of the Mormon faith. And now you can see that by their fruits you can know for a fact that this church is not of God, but of Satan.
Jesus taught, “beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:15-21) Speaking of false prophets, Mormons have plenty of them in their church. Does anything I just mentioned seem like it is of God when it comes to the Mormon faith? Absolutely not. They may dress very religiously in their shirts and ties and dresses, but inwardly, there is so much darkness therein. And who is the only one that can break those chains of darkness and false beliefs? Jesus! As He has done for me, the Lord is able to open our eyes to what is good and what is evil. This way we can leave what is false behind and cling to what is good. These works for the dead can cease, along with their participation in Halloween. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray for my family and others who are stuck in the Mormon cult. I know that my words will never help them in any way unless their heart is open to Your truth. Otherwise, it is like talking to myself. I wish that I could show them what it means to really know You, Jesus. Those in Mormonism do works for the dead which is so wrong and blasphemes what is taught in the Bible. If people could simply seek Your face on a daily basis through Bible study and constant prayer, they could know Your truth and also cling to it. One thing I know Lord, is that many people will laugh as they read this prayer. Nothing I say will make a difference until maybe the end of what I pray. Lord, I just ask why? Why are these people so closed off to anything that goes against their church? Could it be that Christians around the globe are being led by the Holy Spirit and are now able to see the fruits of false religions like this. One false prophet cannot die and a good one come forth afterward in the same cult. This is logically impossible and wrong, but still, the people in this cult discard things from their former prophets of old and now look to the current teachings of their prophets. As for me, I am so glad that the true church comes from You alone, Jesus. We aren’t led by men who can lead us down a path of darkness, but You alone, Lord. I love You, God. I give You praise and honor. Amen.
