In Revelation, chapter 16, what takes place means devastation and destruction upon those who are left on earth. God has commissioned his mighty angels to pour out different vials upon the earth, in order for the wicked to know of His wrath upon the wicked. And so it begins with the following verses, “and I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.” (Revelation 16:1-4) Those who have the mark of the beast will get grievous sores upon their bodies as Job did. Even the fish life in the ocean was no more, for the sea became blood. This includes rivers, streams, lakes, and fountains. What people are used to drinking as clean water is no more. This includes seafood, for it is no more after this time.
This would be very sad and disheartening to see and experience, but thankfully God’s people won’t be around at this time. It was after the earth was devastated with the wicked getting life-threatening sores on their bodies, along with sea life being destroyed, that we hear an angel of the waters speak. Here he explained why all this devastation had to happen. The wicked people who were in favor of the beast and his mark deserved what was coming to them. This is because they were also those who mocked, spit on, and were in favor of God’s people being killed. In this case, the angel is recorded as saying the following. “And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.” (Revelation 16:5-7) Amen. People who shed the blood of innocent people who love the Lord are deserving of blood to drink. Jesus’s judgments upon the earth are true and righteous, although it may seem extreme to those who are dying. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will make a decision to follow You. To give up everything they think they know, in order to be led by You and no one else. Give us wisdom, God. Help us to walk in line with Your principles and commandments for our lives. Then, will we make the right decisions and not be conformed by the ways of the world. I know that in these last days most people are living for the lusts of the flesh. This has caused people to have sex outside of marriage, look at pornography, be homosexual, commit adultery, and more, while justifying these sins. I saw this first hand while witnessing at the Gay Pride Festival this last weekend. It was so sad to see what was happening there. People truly mocked You in the way they dressed and spoke to me. I knew that many people would destroy or throw away the gospel tracts I gave them, but hoped and prayed that there would be even one person out of the thousand that would receive Your message of hope in their lives. I go to these events not to participate, but to help people know their need to repent and get right with You, Jesus. I wish this would happen sooner for some people, for death is at the door. I love You, Lord. In Your Name, I pray. Amen.
