The days that we are living in today are much like the times of Noah and the flood, along with Lot in Sodom. We know this for a fact for before Jesus’s return, He said that the times will be very similar to those times in the past. It is written, “and as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot’s wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” (Luke 17:26-33) And so we have people in our day also living for pleasures of their flesh, which is willful sin. They go about their day as usual, while knowingly living apart from God. These same people have no cares in the world, while they live out their own lives free from the laws of God, as they will say. But one day there will be a reckoning for their souls in judgment if they are to be found living when Jesus’s return.
Anyone that is living apart from Jesus is living against Him. These people will be destroyed, even by fire from the heavens. It is also important to not go back to our house for things when we see Jesus returning, for we might also turn to dust like Lot’s wife. Jesus spoke this and I believe Him. And there is more that the Lord Jesus spoke about this day, which we must know and understand. It is written, “I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.” (Luke 17:34-36) And first things first let’s look at verse 34, for it is not talking about two homosexual males in the same bed. However, it is speaking about families who have to share beds because of their poverty. Many 3rd world countries and such live like this and it is totally normal. There is nothing bad happening here. And one of these people in the bed will be taken. Even do we see in the following verses that woman will be working and one will be taken. The same can be said for men. God knows who is His elect, and these same people will be taken up to be with Him in the clouds, where they are safe. Now, my question for you is, are you on God’s side or not? If you are, then you have nothing to fear, but if you are not, then there will be no place for you to hide. For you will be destroyed with all the children of disobedience.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will wake up to know You. That their time coming to You will no longer be found in a church, but outside of its walls also. That their time will no longer be found when worshipping one day a week, but every day of their lives. That their time reading the Bible will no longer be one day a week, but every day of their lives. How can we say that we are true believers when our belief system is only on display while at church? For we are nothing more than the Scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees in Your day, Jesus. They knew how to appear righteous on the outside while in the temple, but inside their heart was far from You. They didn’t live by what You commanded them, but what they added unto the law instead. And so we have them and people now who live by their own terms. Many people know what You have taught in scripture, but still, justify their sinful actions even if it goes against Your Word. Lord, I just pray that people will come to a realization of how far they have distanced themselves from You because of their sins. And speaking of being sinful, they cannot come to this realization unless they begin to let You in their lives. Then, can You pierce their hearts and convict them of things they are doing wrong. As for me, I am so grateful that I allowed You into my life. And instead of me being fearful of Your coming, I now welcome it. I can’t wait for Your return, for it is what I live for each day. I live for You, Jesus, for You are my Savior and my King. Come soon, my Lord. I am waiting for You. I just wish that others will be ready for that day. I will try to help them prepare, but they must desire to be saved on their own. I love You. Amen.
