If you love God, then you also love His instruction and the knowledge He gives, through reading the Bible daily and through much prayer. You pray in order to be filled with His wisdom. You’d rather be led by God then man. 1“Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.” It is wise to seek the Lord and follow in His counsel lest we be found in captivity and led astray. This way you will know the truth of God and not fall victim to foolish lies and deceit. When we stop heeding what God can do in and for our lives, that is often when our pride is in the way. It becomes our barrier between us and God. Please know that 1“the way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.” It is sad that so many people deny counsel and are OK with their own life and decisions. They do not even realize it, but they are now on a path to destruction. The lies that they are following are truly the cause of their demise, lest they repent and come to God. Only He can awaken their souls to know His truth and knowledge. Surely, 1“he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.” These people think they have a good thing going on, but if they asked God in prayer and read the Bible, they would know how far gone they really are.
It is important to understand that 1“lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.” This is why we must pray always, lest we be led astray by a liar and a deceiver. 3There are many wolves in sheep’s clothing, it is important to seek the Lord, lest we fall victim to them. With the Holy Spirit in our lives, we are better able to tell the difference. The Spirit also leads us to be taught by people that know and follow God and go to a church that is speaking the truth, from God’s Word. Through the Bible, prayer, righteous people and the church, 1“the lip of truth shall be established for ever.” I encourage you to seek after what is truth. 2No longer be led by people that put down the Bible and or add to God’s Words, with their other books. The Bible is the only Word of God. Saying another book has the same value or more is wrong. There are many false teachings that come from these false churches, and one day, the people responsible will pay for their lies and deceits. Their lying acts are known by God and His wrath is upon such people that lie and deceive. Know that 1“a lying tongue is but for a moment,” and God’s wrath is upon such people. I pray that you hearken unto the counsels of God. Read the Bible daily and pray often, that God’s counsels may be a part of your life.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, please open our hearts to the truth. I know that what You put in our hearts and our minds is all the knowledge and understanding that we need. This wisdom is power. Give us Your wise counsel and lead us by the hand. If anyone is being led now by their own desires or by false teachers, wake them up from their slumber. Revive them this day. May they start to realize the trouble and the foolishness they have gotten themselves in. I know Lord that it is foolish to deny Your counsel. We are apt to stumble and fall under the wrong judgements when Your wisdom is not sought. When You are not there in our lives we are led astray on a road to destruction. I ask Lord that You break the bonds of captivity in our lives. May we break free, this day. Lower our pride and humble us. Send the Holy Spirit down and into our lives, that we may know who is out to teach the truth and who is out to deceive. We want to be led by You dear Lord and not by men that profess to follow You. I know that there are many false teachers and false churches among us. Help people find a church that teaches from the Bible alone. Yes, Lord, Your Words from the Bible are true and faithful and we ought not to add to or take away from Your teachings. Thank You for giving me this wisdom and counsel. I love You. Amen.
