As Paul, the apostle, wrote and exhorted those in the church to live out their faith, I am here also to reach those now that declare that they are saved through Christ Jesus. I know that there are many people that are insincere in their beliefs, as their hearts are far from God, but this message is for them also. If they are proclaiming to know God, then let them keep their word also. As Christians, we live out our faith, because we love God and believe in Jesus. Nobody pushes us to live differently but the Holy Spirit leads us and we follow. We know that 2“the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” And we look to Him always, as if He’d return today. We are ready for His return. If this is your heart, you 2“are not in darkness” and will not allow this day to come as a thief. Everyone that believes in and follows Jesus are “the children of light, and the children of the day.” We are not also partakers of the night, lest we fall into darkness.
We are to 2“watch and be sober”. Understand that the night crowd can easily lead you astray, so stay vigilant and go to bed when it is night. 2“They that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.” If you are out a night, drinking alcohol, then you are living in darkness and apart from God’s will. Only those that do not take part in the night scene but live for the day are able to abide in the light of Christ. 2“Let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.” 1Think about these things carefully for no drunkards will inherit the kingdom of God. God does not wish for us to be punished. He wishes for us all to be found worthy in judgement. He 2“hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” However, we have a choice to make. If we desire to be saved, then we will be made ready now. We will confess our sins openly that the Lord may have mercy upon us. We give it all to God before it is too late.
I pray that you will always remember that Jesus 2“died for us”. Whether we are awake in the Spirit or asleep, 2“we should live together with him.” If your faith is strong then comfort and ‘edify one another.” Show love and kindness to them, as Christ shows love for us. 2“Be at peace among” them. As you are among those in the faith, 2“warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.” Not everybody is at the same place as you are in the faith, so help those that are still finding their way. If they are out of line, make it known in kind passion. Help them realize that way of life is not of God, but in loving way. They may be weak, but help them know the Holy Spirit can strengthen them and help them resist temptation. Be patient with them and pray for their needs. Know the scriptures, that you may know what is right and what is wrong. This way you will be able to help others as you are also walking in your faith. You will be strengthened as the light of Christ will be among you.
As you read the Bible daily, your eyes will be opened to God’s truth. Then as you desire to do as God’s Word says, you will be guided. Your strengthened, enough to do what is right, even among pear pressure. I pray that you will 2“ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.” Know that only the Lord can help you do this. 2“Pray without ceasing,” that you may continue in the faith and no go astray. 2“Rejoice evermore,” while your faith is strong. Count it a blessing to be made righteous in Christ the Lord. 2“In every thing give thanks,” that God has taken you from darkness and into His light. Do not take this time for granted, lest you fall victim to willful sin. The Holy Spirit will leave when we introduce evil into our lives. 2“Quench not the Spirit,” but abide in the Lord, that your faith may be strong. This will help you not fall victim to the lies and deceits of this world. 2“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” Make sure belief in God is based in and taught in the Bible, and cling to it.
If you desire to live for Christ, then also 2“abstain from all appearance of evil.” Pray that your eyes will be opened to the filth of this world. This way, you can know of it’s dangers and stay far away. If you do these things and pray often, then the 2“God of peace” will 2“sanctify you wholly.” As Paul prayed, I also join in, 2“I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” May know you know of God’s teachings and abide in them always. 2“Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” You are a faithful servant of God, if you do His will. Seek after the kingdom of God, and you will be blessed. The Lord will help you stay true to the faith. May 2“the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you,” in your walk with Him. Only through the Lord Jesus, can we be cleansed from all sin. Through this, our desires will be changed to live for Him and not the world. If this is not where your heart is now, then give in to the Lord’s goodness and grace. Allow His spirit to come over you and lead you out of darkness and into His light. Seek the one who saves and that is Christ the Lord.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, help us do the things of God and walk apart from the things of this world. Help us abstain from all appearance of evil. Cut loose any addiction in our life. May we stop doing things that we know will lead to sinful actions. If it is to stop staying up or going out late at night, convict us of this. May we become sober minded and find forgiveness within You. May our hearts grow closer to You and not of the things of this world. Help us to live inside Your light and apart from all darkness. I know that even the appearance of sin offends the Spirit, and I no longer desire to quench it. Help us do things that edify You and one another and no longer do things to fulfill our flesh. May your love come inside of us, that we may help others in need. May we come to those in the faith and strengthen one another. My prayers are lifted up to those in need, in the faith. Strengthen them. Help those that are struggling, but desire to be made clean. Help them overcome their sicknesses and be healed by Your blood. I trust in You Lord. Thank You for helping us. I love You. Amen.
