If you learn from God, than you are His. If you do not seek His knowledge than you are in the world and of the devil. There is no in-between. Understand that learning from one another is not always learning from God. This knowledge you gain must be found in scripture also. It must be taught from the Bible. So if you think you are knowledgeable, then test this knowledge in God’s Word. If others disagree with your belief, don’t get upset but ask why. Desire to know what is right above all else. If you are wrong, ask God to show you the right path. Study the Bible and pray often and you will gain wisdom, that goes beyond the knowledge of man. Everyone in the Lord, also seeks Him 1“to know wisdom and instruction.” They go to God in prayer to gain “the words of understanding.” They are joyful when they 1“receive the instruction of wisdom”. They understand that they are lost in this world without Him. Understand that 1“wise man will hear” God’s counsels and obey. It is in their heart’s desire to 1“increase learning” and never fall back into the ways of the world. If you have not come to Christ, to learn of Him yet, then consider it now. What we gain from the world does nothing for our soul but what we gain in the Lord has everything to do with our salvation.
To gain knowledge, we must first understand the meaning of fear. We learn that 1“the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” Nothing can take place in our lives if there is no fear. Fear in the eyes of God is respect and honor. We know of His kingdom and power and we humbly bow down before the King. We understand that we are nothing without His power in our lives and therefore truly desire to learn from Him. There is fear and trembling for the sinner who rejects God’s counsel, in judgement, but there is much learning from God, in the lives of His saints. You are only a fool if you think you are content and have no need of God’s counsel for your lives. Only the 1“fools despise wisdom and instruction.” 2They aren’t going anywhere in life but are on a path that leads to destruction. So often the Lord attempts to speak to us and so many people deny His promptings. God says, 1“my son, hear the instruction of thy father,” but they continue to ignore Him. If we but listen to the Spirit of God, we would know that He is only trying to lead us in what is right. If we were open to His words, we’d hear Him say, 1“my son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.” Are you listening to God?
God knows everything in our lives. He knows what has happened and will happen if we yield to temptation. To those in the faith, sin is truly devastating. Everyone living a life for Christ is crushed when they are led astray. Understand that you cannot live this life on your own. You need the help of our Father, God. The Lord is asking you to trust in Him and to not give way to the enticing’s of the evil people in this world. He says with all authority, 1“walk not thou in the way with them.” God is telling us that there is evil in our path and to stay away. Please know that there are evil men and women out there, that we need to watch out for. 2Not everyone that says they are for God are truly so in their hearts. 2Instead, there are many wolves in sheep’s clothing. Some of these people understand that they are in the wrong but others are blindly following something. There is sin in false belief, though it may not be blatantly known at the moment. That is why we need to go to God in His Word and prayer to be know what is right. Other sin can easily be seen but still so cunning and hard to escape. Both lifestyles are of the devil and have no place in heaven. If you desire to find true happiness in this life, than it is in the Lord. Seek His counsel above all else and you will be led to all truth and led to live for Christ.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, we come to You now to lead us in the ways that are right. There are so many people that want to take us down a path that leads to destruction. Help us stay the course and follow Your ways above all else. May the cunnings of the devil have no power over us. Lead us from temptation and fill us with Your wise counsel. Send down Your Holy Spirit that we may know who to trust. May we find other Christian friends that can help us in the faith. But help us know if they are really for You. We do not wish to go astray. We come to You for wisdom and knowledge. Fill us up with Your counsel. Give us wise understanding. Our hearts and ears are open to Your will. You are all wise and powerful. We need You Lord. I trust in You. There is nobody else that can show me what is good but You. I love You Lord. Amen.

1Proverbs 1:1-16 (KJV)
1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9 For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.
10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
2Matthew 7:13-23 (KJV)
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
