If someone told you that what they’ve done trumps what Jesus has done on earth what would you think? Most of you would see the person as lost and in so desperate need of a Savior, as would I. However, millions of people do not see this as contrary to God that a man could boast in being greater than His Only Begotten Son. Listen to what the first prophet of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith, said about himself. “I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet.” -History of the Church, Vol. 6, pp. 408-409
These are words of a false prophet and unfortunately millions of lives are now deceived. Their souls are in jeopardy of going to heaven unless they turn from there man made beliefs and accept Jesus as Lord. To follow any one but Christ alone leads to death. Our eyes must be opened to the Lord lest we fall into dark paths that don’t bear light. Beware, lest you be deceived. Stay strong in the Lord and you will be blessed. Never trust any man that is boastful in himself. Humble yourself and come unto Jesus. He is the way to eternal life in heaven.
Matthew 7:15-20 (KJV)
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
