We must open our hearts to Jesus and accept Him as Lord. We must give up anything that is holding us back. We must deny ourselves and follow Jesus. We must give our lives to Him and let Him make a change in our lives. It is a life changing event to come to Christ. God is calling out our Name to follow. Nothing on earth is more important than the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Jesus is our Savior and redeemer of all mankind. He is the head of all good Bible believing church’s. There is no church that will save us. There is no person on earth that has the key’s to heaven. It is only through Jesus that we can be saved. The leaders of our church are here to pastor us and lead us to Christ. We are all sheep that would be lost without a shepherd. There are good and bad teachers. Those that teach the truths of the Bible are doing God’s will. If they are teaching from other so called Biblical books, other than the Bible, then they are a deceiver and we should run for cover. Jesus doesn’t get caught up in churches that undercuts the validity of the Bible. Our salvation is in jeopardy if Jesus doesn’t know us.
We must not rely on other people who know God. There words are great but if we don’t have the Lord in our lives than we won’t be saved. The way we can come to know the Lord is through prayer and reading the Bible. Our relationship with Christ is improved each day that we converse to Him in worship. The Holy Spirit can rest on our hearts and teach us truth. To come to Christ is to open our ears to hear. We must humble our hearts to learn of Him. If our ears are closed to what the Bible teaches than we our lives are closed off from Jesus. The Lord teaches through each word. We must have an open mind to learn. We must be willing to ask God what is truth. Even something we’ve learned all our lives could be false. That is why it is so important to know if what we’ve been taught is biblical. The only way we can know this is if we are in the Word of God daily and in prayer to God. We must be watchful and let the Lord lead our lives. Oh Lord, all I need is You. Come and make me new each day. Take my life and make me whole. Fill me with gladness. My life has never been the same since I found You.
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
