“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 5:26-29) – About A.D. 80–90.

“And I would that all men might be saved. But we read that in the great and last day there are some who shall be cast out, yea, who shall be cast off from the presence of the Lord; Yea, who shall be consigned to a state of endless misery, fulfilling the words which say: They that have done good shall have everlasting life; and they that have done evil shall have everlasting damnation. And thus it is. Amen.” (Helaman 12:25,26) – About 6 B.C.

Verses from the King James Version of John, chapter 5, were copied and pasted into the Book of Mormon. These verses can be found in Helaman, chapter 12. Details of what took place can be found below…

Helaman was written around 6 B.C. This was before Jesus came to earth. However, his information about the resurrection came from the Lord's writings. This cannot be, as Jesus had not taught this specific truth about the resurrection yet. I am speaking of John, chapter 5. Here we see Jesus talking about people coming out of their graves to the resurrection of life or damnation. This is after He came to dwell among us, while starting His earthly ministry. Jesus said, “for as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 5:26-29) Remember the words in bold as we will see them later on.

The following is an excerpt from Helaman, chapter 12, in the Book of Mormon. As you read the verses, you can see how Joseph Smith copied and pasted what Jesus said in John. It is written, “and I would that all men might be saved. Amen.” (Helaman 12:25,26)) These verses are credited to Nephi instead of Jesus. This is what we call blasphemy. The Book of Mormon is in direct plagiarism to the Bible. Therefore, stop reading it immediately. Jesus is right about their being two resurrections. One to life eternal life and one to damnation. Only God can lead you to heaven.

Notice how the resurrection of life is changed to everlasting life, and the resurrection of damnation to everlasting damnation. Joseph Smith didn't include the word "resurrection" because he believed he had better knowledge than the Bible authors. He even went so far as to create his own version of the Bible. "This work differs from the KJV in at least 3,410 verses and consists of additions, deletions, rearrangements, and other alterations that cause it to vary not only from the KJV but from other biblical texts." (Joseph Smith Translation Of The Bible) But would a prophet of God add or take away from the words of scripture? Absolutely not. Changing the KJV Bible makes Joseph Smith a false prophet. He is not to be trusted, as he has died and gone to hell. Soon enough he will be judged and be resurrected to damnation. The lake of fire is his final destination. If you are a Mormon, resign today. Do it for Jesus! Find a good Bible-believing church. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, rescue those who are lost in Mormonism. At the moment, most of these people do not realize that they are on the path of destruction. They feel that what they believe in is true and are comfortable in this religious lifestyle. My heart goes out to them, for they are so lost and cannot even see it. How is it that their hearts have become so hardened to You and Your truth? God, all I desire is to reach them with Your true gospel message, which You have given to us. It is so hard to get the true gospel message through to them when they cannot let go of what they believe in. Their false prophets have caused them to ignore the fact that in death You atoned for our sins, Jesus. And so they remove the importance of the cross. Lord, what they believe in is of the devil. They are not allowing Your blood to cover them and don't realize it. Lord, help me and other Christians know how to reach the lost. I love them so much and pray that they will see this love in me. I love you, Lord. You deserve the glory and the praise. Amen.
