• The Bible = Original • “Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying, ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD. And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:10-14) – About 700–681 B.C.
• The Book Of Mormon = Plagiarism • “Moreover, the Lord spake again unto Ahaz, saying: Ask thee a sign of the Lord thy God; ask it either in the depths, or in the heights above. The King James Version of Isaiah, chapter 7, was copied and pasted into the Book of Mormon. This chapter of Isaiah can be found in 2 Nephi, chapter 17. The book of Isaiah and 2 Nephi are also available to read in the next chapters of this book. Details of what took place can be found below…
The devil has done a work through the Book of Mormon, which is to rename instances of LORD to Lord. The letter "L" is capitalized, but the capitalization of "LORD" is removed. This is a big change to the Bible, for it begins to remove the actual name for God. This changes God to something less special, like unto false gods. I am speaking of “YHWH” or Yahweh, which is the Hebrew interpretation for “LORD”. YHWH is the most holy name of the Almighty God. So the question is, why would Joseph Smith purposely do this when his King James Version Bible had passages with “LORD” in all caps? You will find an example of these verses in the Bible in its pure form first. It is written, “moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying, ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above. But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD. And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:10-14) These verses are speaking of Jesus being born of a virgin. Immanuel, God with us.
Now that we have read what the Bible says, let’s see how Joseph Smith purposely removed the divinity of God. He did this by changing “LORD” to “Lord”. The Book of Mormon reads, “moreover, the Lord spake again unto Ahaz, saying: Ask thee a sign of the Lord thy God; ask it either in the depths, or in the heights above. But Ahaz said: I will not ask, neither will I tempt the Lord. And he said: Hear ye now, O house of David; is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? Therefore, the Lord himself shall give you a sign. Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” (2 Nephi 17:10-14) Notice how the words of Isaiah were purposely changed. I say on purpose, for the KJV Bible was and is correct. Therefore, Joseph Smith made a bold decision to change the Name of God. You will find LORD changed to Lord in every passage that was copied and pasted from the Bible and into the Book of Mormon. This is a big problem, for the Bible is sacred. Those who change God's Words, especially His Name, causing Him to put curses upon people's lives. The Book of Mormon is leading people astray. Here is the truth! Joseph's book is false and not of God, nor ever will be. Amen.
Let us pray: Oh Lord, I pray that people will learn to understand the Bible. Not just from other people, but through the power of the Holy Spirit. Speak to their heart, so that they stop relying on every ounce of doctrine they hear from people and their church. May people know the importance of searching the scriptures for themselves. I love Solomon’s desire to only gain wisdom from You instead of anything else that he could have received. Truly, you are not a genie, for that is the world’s way of putting You in a box. I rebuke that type of evil thinking. I know that You are able to hear our prayers in the good and bad times of our lives. No matter how many times we reach out to You in our Bible study, prayer, worship, and doing Your will, there are answers. Maybe not in our time, but in Yours. All I desire is to know Your will for my everyday life. This way I will continue in Your ways all my days. As You speak to me, I listen. This way I can rear up my family in the same way and tell others also. Thank You for teaching me these many years. I don’t know how much time I have left on this earth, but in the time I do have I will go out and serve You with all my heart, mind, and strength. I love You, Lord. You truly deserve our highest praise. Amen.
