Jared in the Bible supposedly lived around 3544-2582 BC, which we see in Genesis 5. I am mentioning Jared since you see a brother of Jared in the Book of Mormon.
Genesis 6:1,2 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Angels did come down to earth, in order to take wives for themselves. The offspring of these fallen angels were giants.
Before people could receive Jesus as Lord, only angels were called, “the sons of God”. Now, the door is open to us who believe.
We must be careful to not get caught up in teachings that are not Biblical, but teachings that are backed up by the Bible itself.
To accept Jesus into our hearts means to make Him the highest priority in our lives. We sacrifice our time to live a life for Him.
Trust in God, that He will restore your heart. Your fight is over. Come back into His loving arms. It is never too late to come back to Christ.
If you are caught up in the things of the world, repent. Let go of your lusts and come to the Lord. Let Him cast off your chains of addiction.
