“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 1. There Is No Evidence For The Book Of Mormon Or Things In It
There is no evidence for the Book of Mormon or anything that takes place in it. Cities and their names have never been found, and people’s names have never been found on graven stone. The supposed Golden Plates have never been seen except for speculations of supposed people in Joseph Smith’s company. It is a coincidence that he claims an angel took it, in order to not produce any proof of it. You know that scientists would have dated those plates and seen that they were from the 1800s, making it a fraud. The book also talks about brass plates, the sword of Laban, and many other things that have never been discovered. There are also a number of animals that are mentioned in this book that did not exist on the American continent until the Europeans arrived. All these things are big red flags. Seeing there is no evidence for the Book of Mormon is a red flag.
2. Bible Verses Were Copied Into The Book Of Mormon In The KJV Style
Verses from the Bible were copied and pasted into the Book of Mormon in the King James style. For example, Isaiah 4:3 is in 2 Nephi 14:3, and it reads, “and it shall come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded among the living in Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 4:3 KJV). This is the same thing that happens with every other verse from the Bible that is added to the Book of Mormon. But was anybody speaking in old English in the 1800s? Absolutely not. You can look at Joseph Smith’s writings, and it sounds nothing like what we see in the KJV Bible. So if the Book of Mormon was written in Reformed Egyptian, then it would have been translated into how people spoke in English at that time. Therefore, we see a huge red flag, seeing the KJV Verses splattered all across this book. What people speak is what they translate, not the case here.
3. Book of Mormon Contradictions When Compared To The Bible
There are dozens of Book of Mormon Contradictions when it comes to the Bible. For example, the Book of Mormon teaches that we are saved after all we can do, where the Bible teaches that by grace we are saved through faith and not of works. The Book of Mormon teaches that Jesus atoned for our sins in the garden and finished it on the cross, where the Bible teaches that Jesus atoned for our sins with His death on the cross. The Book of Mormon teaches that baptism is necessary for salvation, where the Bible teaches that faith alone in Jesus saves us. The Book of Mormon teaches that Jesus would be born in Jerusalem, where the Bible prophecies of Jesus being born in Bethlehem. 4. Book Of Mormon Plagiarism When Compared To The Bible
There is a vast amount of Book of Mormon Plagiarisms when compared to the Bible. The following full chapters have been copied and pasted from the Bible. Isaiah 2-14;48-51;53;54. Matthew 6, 7. Along with full chapters, the following verses were copied and pasted, while being changed also. Isaiah 52:7,11,12. Malachi 4:2. Matthew 3:8-10. Matthew 25:41. John 3:1-7. John 5:26-29. 1 Corinthians 12:4-10. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. 1 Corinthians 15:57,58. Revelation 14:11. Revelation 20:10. Revelation 22:11. As for the chapters mentioned above, these were used as fillers to make the Book of Mormon appear bigger than it really is. Imagine Joseph and his cohorts making up this story and then copying and pasting big chunks of the Bible to make it sound like scripture.
5. Jesus’s Name Was Known In The Old Testament Times
The name of Jesus was known in the Old Testament times of the Book of Mormon. His name is mentioned hundreds of times, where in the same time period nobody knew what the name of the Messiah would be. They knew He would be called Emmanuel, which means “God with us”, but nothing about his true identity. And for the Book of Mormon to call Jesus, Jesus Christ, before Jesus’s birth is a huge red flag also. This is saying, Jesus, the Messiah, has come, when He hadn’t been born yet. My friends, the very fact that God’s people were not privy to know the Messiah’s name would mean that nobody would have known it also. Only with the announcement to Mary would she know to call her son, Jesus. Speaking of Jesus’s name being added to the Book of Mormon, it was to make it sound more like scripture, although a false Jesus is being portrayed.
