After every person dies and is eventually judged accordingly, God will form a new earth and a new heaven. It is in these places that there is no more sea, but rivers and fountains of waters remain. On this new earth, the holy city, even new Jerusalem, will come down from heaven. This is in the representation of Jesus coming as a bride to His church, even His saints who are redeemed. This is because Jesus is our bride, where we are no longer married like we were on earth. “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” (Matthew 22:30) The truth is, eternal marriage to a spouse other than to Jesus is a false teaching, but remains in cults like Mormonism. It is in this place, that God will be with us. John wrote all this and said, “and I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.” (Revelation 21:1-3) Amen.
The best part about Jesus, our Lord, and our God, being with us, He will also give unto us the water of life and the tree of life freely, where there is no more death. Our bodies are now eternal and sicknesses will no longer plague us like before. We may be sad because of certain people not being with us in heaven or how we were killed because of our faith, but God shall come and wipe away those tears. With the Lord, there is no more sorrow but joy abundant. The Lord will sit on his throne and make everything new, for He is true and faithful. We know God as Alpha and Omega, the beginning the end. Those that overcome the world in their faith in Jesus are His sons and daughters. John wrote, “and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” (Revelation 21:4-7) Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that You will help us make sure our lives are ready to receive You when we die. I know that I will never be able to know for a surety that my name is written in the book of life on my own, but You are able to make this known to me. As I continue to seek Your face and dive into the Word of God daily, I trust that You will reveal Your hidden truths unto me. Just like Solomon sought after wisdom from heaven to be made happy, this is all I long for also. Lord, lead me in Your ways that lead to life eternal. Even now, do I fall down in worship to You, Jesus. You are my King and I glorify You in every way. Come Jesus! Come for Your church, of whom we await anxiously to receive You. Although many people have been set apart for the marriage supper, I know that only few people will remain faithful and ready. This is my desire. I wish to not only lead myself but many others to heaven with me. Would you please do a work in my families lives, that they may be saved with me? Would you please do a work in my friends and co-workers lives, they may be saved with me? As I go out on the streets and witness Your truths, I pray for many more people to also receive You and be saved. To go to such a place like heaven, I would never want to only take myself there. I love You, God. Amen.
