There is a form of grace that people are pushing in many churches today that is so false that people who believe in it are on the pathway to hell and destruction when they die. And here is that false belief. That all we have to do is believe in Jesus and we are saved. We can sin all we want to now and even repentance is not necessary. I even talked to a Baptist at one of their church services last year and bringing up the topic of repentance was offensive to him and others that were there. Wow! I could not believe it. No matter the scriptures I used, he was not interested and always went back to Ephesians 2:8,9 and John 10:27-29. Which read, 3“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8,9) 1“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” (John 10:27-29) He then tried to explain why once saved always saved is true, which is also a false teaching. My friends, he did not want to hear the truth that Paul also said, 3“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10) And that Jesus said that people who are saved are those who hear His voice and follow Him.
You see, we have people taking scriptures in the Bible out of context, in order to lift up their own man-made teachings. And what this does is cause more and more people to think that sinning is ok as long as they say they believe in Jesus. Of which is leading these people, who say they are Christians, to walk in darkness and allow them to be filled with demons. My friends, where sin abounds, God is also not preset. As John said, 4“whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:6-9) Paul also said, 2“what shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:1-4) Therefore, if God is in us, sin does not abound. So if sin is abounding in you, you ought to repent and confess those sins to God immediately. Then, He will be just to forgive you.
Sinner’s pray:
Oh Lord, I love and honor You, this day and forever. May Your will be done in my life forevermore. Take me as I am and transform me into Your right standing. Cause me to live a life that is pleasing in Your sight. Give me over to doing Your good works. Lead me into Your light and cause all the darkness to scatter. I don’t wish to be affiliated with the things of this world any longer. Keep me set apart from anything that causes me to sin. Lord, Your ways lead to eternal life and anything else leads to destruction and hell. I choose this day to follow You and no longer be a slave to sin or temptation. May the devil no longer have any power over me. Come and abide with me. Give me over to Your desires and I will do them. Give me wisdom, that I might learn and be filled by the King of glory. I have lived in and tasted enough of what the world wants to give me and fill me with, but if it doesn’t lift You up, I am ready to give it up. Let nothing else keep me apart from You again. I confess that I am a sinner and need You in my life. You are the Lord God of the heavens and I believe in You, Jesus. You are my Savior, and only through You can I go forth in your light unto this lost generation. I lay down all my sins as Your feet, that You may take them away and cast them into the pit. Brake down every stronghold in my life. Break every chain. Transform my life into the person You wish me to be. I am ready. Forgive me and find mercy for my soul. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
