3Our salvation is not sure until we have been washed clean by the blood of Jesus. We can strive to be good all we want to but if the blood of the Lamb has not washed us from all our sins then it was for not. The people that will be ushered into heaven are those that come to the Lord in repentance. They confessed their sins openly and allowed Jesus to free them from their addictions. Jesus already paid our debts on the cross but these people decided they would accept that sacrifice and trust in Him for forgiveness. The mercy of the Lord would be the one that would transform their lives. The light of Christ helps us to make better choices because the Lord is at the head. We must ask ourselves, who are we following? What kind of life are we leading? If you are following Jesus, then you are safe from bondage. Death cannot keep you from the eternal joy that lays in store for all believers of Jesus. Your prayers are heard and the Lord loves you so much. He knows you by name. Here is the promise of Jesus to His faithful. 3“They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”
Let us now review our own lives before God. If you died today, would you be ready to meet Jesus in judgement? Would you be considered worthy before Him? Does He know you? The life you are living says a lot about the person you are for Christ. If you are His, then there will be light abundant in your life, that brings forth fruit for God’s kingdom. If you are for the world then darkness and a sinful nature reside. The love of Jesus casts away all darkness. If you are living in sin and continually breaking God’s commandments then your faith is not sure in Jesus. If we are living for Jesus, then our faith would be raised up high. We would be serving Him, where temptation wouldn’t be able to penetrate us as easily. The Bible teaches us that the Lord keeps track of each of us in a book of life. In judgement, 4“whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” To be judged by the Lord Jesus is either going to be an amazing time, to bask in His glory and be ushered into heaven, or the most terrifying thing, to await our eternal destination in hell. Everyone that chooses to put off their repentance till the end, Jesus will say, 1“I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” 2Even when Jesus returns, we must have our lamps lit with oil, to receive Him. The Spirit of God is not something to put off. Seek the Lord and be ready to meet Him.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, thank You for still believing in me, even after living a life of sin. Only You could bring me out of that state of darkness and shame. My life was upside down and I could not do anything right on my own until You came into my life. The day you took my old life and washed my sins away, through Your blood, I could finally live apart from the flesh and into Your light. Being born again into Your love has changed the way I think and act. Lord, I know that I am not perfect but with You in my life, I can live better. You help direct my paths that Your ways may be my ways. Even when I fall, You pick me back up that I might not continue in that sin. I know that I don’t deserve Your forgiveness. How merciful are You God for taking me in. Thank You for showing mercy. Thank You for all You do for me. You are the Lord of my life. I can’t wait to see You, one day soon. I love You. Amen.

1Matthew 7:21-27 (KJV)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
2Matthew 25:1-13 (KJV)
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
3Revelation 7:9-17 (KJV)
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
4Revelation 20:4-6,11-15 (KJV)
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
