As believers in Christ we are to bring forth His light to the world. In our walk with the Lord we don’t boast in our righteousness but in His holiness. For we are born again into newness of life. Our heart is given to God, and not men, as we strive do His will. We know that we are not perfect but reach for Christ when we fall. As Paul taught, “be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers”, our walk is different. The things of this world will only attempt to tear us down if we put ourselves out there. Paul continued to teach, “what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God.” If we continue to hang out with the wrong crowd and not give up what is holding us back then the Spirit will not dwell with us. If you believe in Christ than “come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” God is waiting for us to give Him our whole heart. To everyone that desires to walk in holiness God promises, I “will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
It is my heart’s desire to do God’s will. I know that there are many things in this world that can take me away from His presence. For this reason I seek the Lord’s love daily that I may have better control over my flesh. His love is fulfilling where the things of the flesh only feel good in the moment. I always feel terrible when I’ve fallen in sin. There is darkness in all addiction. When we walk with Christ we carry His light. His light cast aside all darkness. It is my prayer that God can use me to bring forth His light to the lost. It is an amazing experience to have God’s love in my life. He has truly helped me understand the worth of being His disciple. I know that if only all people could taste of the fruits of the gospel of Jesus Christ more souls would be saved. Oh Lord, You are a beacon of hope in my life. I have never been so happy since I’ve given up things that are unholy in my life. You’ve given me a heart to better discern what is right and wrong. Thank You for the Word of God for it is a lamp to my feet. Thank You for Your counsel, for it wise. May the way I live my life give You praise. I love You.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (KJV)
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
