If God calls us to do something, act on it. No matter what the directive is, abide by it. The Lord knows what is best in our lives. If we follow Him we will be blessed. We will have the things we need. We will be made a mighty servant in His sight. We may feel weak but He will make us strong. He will bring out our hidden talents. He will do a marvelous work in our lives. We will be made a vessel before the Lord to do His work. His love will radiate in our lives. God called Abram, “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.” Abram did not ignore this call but he acted on it. It says that he “departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.” He knew God had a plan for His life and did as He commanded. He trusted in God. Just as Abram followed the Lord, look to God in your lives. If any of you are in need of a healing come to the Lord in prayer. Pray for His peace to be upon you. Pray for His blessings. Live for Jesus and you will be healed. He will open your eyes to everything He does for you each day. You will become more thankful for things you have. Nobody will truly understand all that they are blessed with until they have given their hearts to the Lord. Once His love penetrates hearts, lives are changed forever.
There have been many times in my life that God has called me to talk to someone at fast food restaurants. In the past I was very timid and could not get out of my comfort zone to do it. I was too scared to think of what the person would say to me. It always haunted me later on. I always wondered what could’ve happened in that person’s life if I just listened to God. As I’ve discovered the Lord and have given my life over to Him I am no longer scared to speak to people. I get feelings while I am driving to talk to the homeless and I just pull over. I like to give them money if I have it but what I love to do is eat with them. I take them into a nearby fast food restaurant and get them food and talk with them. After I find out about their situation I speak of the love of Jesus with them. I share a devotional message with them. I know that God loves everyone. He wants each person to hear His word. If He calls me to be a messenger for Him I will do it. It is a blessing for me to share the Word of God with others. Jesus has taken a hold of my life and opened my eyes to His love. I want all the world to know that there is hope for them. True happiness can only be found in the Lord. His love never ends. If we just believe in Him and follow in His footsteps we will one day obtain eternal life in Heaven. God has truly blessed my life. I can see His blessings all around me. What is most amazing is the feelings I get when I pray. There is nothing worth more than the love of Jesus.
Genesis 12:1-5
1 Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
5 Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.
