I was so foolish in the things of the world. My mind was deceived to think that anything could come before the Lord. My lustful desires were more important than following my Savior. My happiness was based on what I was feeling in the moment. I lived for myself and could not let go of my pride. My life was full of shame and guilt. I knew I had to change but I never knew how. I didn’t think I had it in me to break free of the life that had me captive. I knew that God was real but I never trusted in Him. It wasn’t until I gave up my pride and surrendered my heart to Jesus that my life changed. I am born again through the love of Jesus.
I am free at last. Through the blood of Jesus my life has been washed clean. I have been renewed by the Holy Spirit. I can feel joy each day in my life through faith in Jesus. Each day that I seek Him I am less tempted by the things of this world. The more I worship the Lord my desires to love my neighbor is increased. As I follow in His ways my heart desires to be righteous. I am not saved through works but I do them because I love Him. I am saved through the mercy of Jesus Christ. Let us proclaim to the world that Jesus saves. He has power to heal broken hearts. If we allow Him, He will transform our lives. I lift up a shout of praise to my Lord and Savior.
Titus 3:3-8
3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.
4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
