Read the Bible daily. For it is the Holy Word of God. Study it out in your mind and in your heart. Seek the Lord’s counsel. Do not quickly read over its words. The Lord speaks through each word. All scripture is for our profit and learning. It is more important to be wise in the Word of God than to be wise in the world. If you feel a tug on your heart as you read, give into your emotions. Let God take hold of your life and change you from within. The Lord knows your thoughts and when you read specific passages He will pierce your soul. By giving into these feelings a mighty change will take place. Through faith in Him, He will give us courage to fight sin at its core. Give yourselves to the Lord and repent of your sins or else you will have to give an account to Him in judgement. All can be washed clean if we come to Him and ask for His forgiveness.
If we aren’t following the Lord each day, then it will be easy to harden our hearts before God. We may know that something is wrong in our life but because sin has taken hold of us our desire to change will often times be weak. It is only by studying the Word daily and doing what the Lord desires that our hearts will change. We can’t just seek the Lord some days and other days be contrary to Him. We need to be all in for the Lord. We need to fully trust in the Lord. We need to be close to the Lord at all times. We need to count on God and know that His will for us is for the better. He knows what is best for us in this life. Yield your heart to Him for His joy is absolutely amazing. Through His grace I am made free from the world. I live each day for the Lord. I seek His counsel at all times. I listen to the Spirit as I read, for I trust in the Lord’s promises. My faith is solid in God.
Hebrews 4:2,7,11-13
2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.”
11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
