The thing about God is that most people don’t want to think about Him and His judgments. If we are guilty or innocent in His sight. As for what I see in this wicked world and the wicked, they would know that He is unhappy with their lives if they admitted they were a sinner. Even to the point of His wrath being upon them, lest they repent and give their lives to Him in this life. I know that many people in my own family and friends are on the path of destruction because of their false beliefs and willful sins. If I was to ask them to let God judge them now, would they want this to happen? I’d hope so. Then they would repent and get right with Him, while they still have time. As for David, I love his heartfelt desire to do God’s will. He even asked God to judge Him, which is awesome to see. It is written, “Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.” (Psalm 26:1-3) He rightly asked God to see His life and to examine it. To know if what he was doing was for Him or against Him. Are you willing to do this also? This life is short. God could take you or me at any time, and in any place we are at right now.
Living for God as David did is hard to find anymore. I know that there are many people who love God and keep His commandments, but this is getting hard to find as I am getting older. I love the Lord with all my heart, mind, and strength. To live for Jesus daily is my gain, and I wish this was the same for people I love and care for. However, they are more into TV, video games, and other things, than doing God’s will. What I say doesn’t matter, which is very sad. Will I see many people I knew and loved in this life in heaven? It is hard to say at this moment. I most definitely want to see my children and wife there, but they must do their part also and have faith in Jesus that is alive. David wrote, “I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord.” (Psalm 26:4-6) I see so much evil in this world. It is everywhere, for example, what is on TV, in video games, on the streets with the LGBTQ, abortion clinics, bars, and more. People are searching for pleasure in all the wrong places. Therefore, we need to separate ourselves from the wicked, as David said. We are made different in Christ Jesus, not the same, and so we witness to them. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people would begin to look to You, Jesus, on a daily basis and be saved. For my own family, I tell them often to seek You first and these words are rejected each time. I am told that it is not my right to judge them and to leave them alone. But God, if people are in danger of going to hell, who is it for me not to warn them of the wrath to come? Maybe there is a better way I could say this in order to reach them for Your sake. And not just my family, but anybody I speak with. Lord, may they see that Your presence is with me. How I live only for You and not for myself. My one true love is You, God. I love my wife, kids, and family, but Your love surpasses them all. Therefore, I will bask in Your awesome presence this day and forever. Be forever near me. Keep me upright and don’t let the evil one have His way in my life. I am so happy that You have come and expelled all the darkness. There is light that comes out of me because You are with me, Lord. May people see Your light in me as I talk to them and also come to You, Jesus, and be saved. I pray that more people will escape the torments of hell and the lake of fire and find entrance into heaven. I am praying for these lost souls. Lead them to me, in order for me to witness to them. I love You, Jesus. I give You glory and praise. Amen.
