I love Jesus and His Words in the Bible. To study them daily brings me so much joy. As David said, I also agree and say to God, 1“thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.” (Psalm 119:140) 1“Thy word is true from the beginning.” (Psalm 119:160) 1“My heart standeth in awe of thy word.” (Psalm 119:161) Therefore, 1“I rejoice at thy word.” (Psalm 119:162) Reading and obeying God’s Word is not something that I am forced into doing, but is baked into who I am now. Since Jesus has come into my life, everything has changed. I no longer wish to fulfill my own desires, but His alone. Doing what the Lord says is very good, and because I am impacted in the ways that are righteous, this has become the greatest blessing in my life. I feel so much better about things when I know that I am led by God and not myself. It gives me so much hope, and I no longer have to worry about being right before God or not. How can this be, you may ask? It is because Jesus has become the Savior of my life, not only by word, but by deeds. Everything I am now is because the Lord is working in my life. I am not alone, for He is by my side day in and day out. I could truly do nothing good if He was not with me. His love is showcased in how I treat people and to be a light unto them is the best thing ever. The feeling I get when I am serving God is very satisfying to the soul. These are the blessings that I look forward to, not earthly things, but things that are heavenly. And all this has happened because I decided to give my time to God each day in His Words and in prayer. If I had never done this, then I would be stuck in my old destructive and sinful ways. So, as I’ve learned, living for Christ is the best decision I have ever made.
I pray that these same desires to follow Jesus is yours also. Getting to know Him through daily Bible study and prayer is very important to our souls. So, if this is not important to you, then I pray for your salvation. May you come to know Christ as I have, one day. Please know that an open heart to Jesus is what He is looking for. Then, comes a desire to confess your sins openly to Him, that you may be washed by His blood. Only by doing this first can you experience a life change, where your whole body and soul is born again through the Spirit. This is when salvation through Christ is experienced, and that desire to live for Him will reign in your heart forever. Now, if you are one of those that has been convicted to live out your faith, may God’s peace rest upon you. This is a wonderful desire and will take you places that you have never experienced. All God wants is a willing heart to follow Him, and then the gifts of the Spirit are poured down upon us. And this outpouring happens when we learn to love God’s Words and cherish our time with Him, while reading the Bible and in prayer. This is when trust is made with God and He can then work in your lives, as He has for me. I pray for every person that is reading this message now. Know that the Lord loves you and desires to forgive your sins. But most of all, He desires to save you and lead you on a path to heaven. Trust in Him, and all this will happen, while experiencing the greatest joy of all. Lastly, if you have already prayed to God, like I have, may you be in accordance with me and say, 1“I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will keep thy statutes.” (Psalm 119:145) This prayer to God will save your soul from death unto life.
Let us pray:
Lord, thank You for putting into my heart the desire to know You deeper than ever before. The day I found You in my confessions was the day that You came for me and started me off on a new path. Where I once desired to be fulfilled in my own lusts and covetousness, You gave me better desires that led to true satisfaction for the soul. I no longer needed the things of this world that were temporary, but Your will sustained me. Once I knew that I would never take any of my earthly treasures with me in death, I began to build myself up with what would sustain me in heaven that mattered most. I no longer needed the best new phone, tablet, TV, or car, or more money, for You have given me exactly what I need in this new life. Your presence is what gives me the greatest joy of all, which is true happiness. I don’t need imitators in life, but what is true and faithful. What honors You is what I look for. That is why I grasp onto Your Words in the Bible. It is the treasure that I have been looking for all my life. I don’t know what my life would be like if You were not leading me through Your Words. They have become a lamp unto my feet and I have true direction now. Your counsel is so good for my soul. I could never know enough of Your precepts, for they satisfy every minute of my life. Your laws are like honey to the soul. To know Your will is what leads me to hope for things that never end. And Thank You Lord for leading me away from temptation these many days. You have become the armor of my life and I am able to stand against the enemy. Thank You for defending me against the evils of this world and the storms of life. I love You more than ever now. You are my Lord and my God, who saves. I trust in You, God, alone. Amen.
