Have you read the Bible today? Don’t be found walking astray, but be guided by God’s Word. Find strength in His Words. Observe the commands of the Lord, as you read God’s Word. Don’t just read and be like, 1“that’s a hard teaching” or 1“that sounds good but I am unable to do it”. The things that are written in the Bible are for our profit and learning. Sure, before observing all things, it is good to talk with your pastor or a friend in the faith. This is because the laws of Moses were fulfilled with Christ, minus God’s ten commandments. However, outside of these laws, the words of the Bible teaches us many things that we ought to obey. And when the Holy Spirit convicts of this truth, then we are able to do so even though the flesh may not think so. Therefore, in these moments, do as God told Joshua. 1“Be thou strong and very courageous” and according to God’s commands, 1“turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.” God’s desire is that we not allow His commands to 1“depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night”. This is vital to our walk with God. For only by doing so, God 1“shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” We may not prosper in the way the world says is good but in God, all things will be made right. We will be guided and have much success in God’s kingdom, as we trust in Him.
If you believe in God, then also understand that He has your back. If you desire to live for Him, He will be with you always, as you seek Him. The Lord has said, 1“have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Putting our trust in God can truly move mountains in our lives. We are able to overcome all sin as the Holy Spirit moves in and scatters the darkness therein. As we put Him first in our lives, the Lord will act accordingly. Even as we seek His face and desire to learn each day that we read and pray, the Lord’s presence will come over us and teach us many things. These can be the most peaceful moments and bring us the rest we need for our souls. Joshua has even confirmed this when he said that 1“the Lord your God hath given you rest”. Do you believe this can happen? I know that God can move in your life like never before. So be of good courage and seek His face, through the Bible and prayer. Come and learn from the most brightest and intelligent person ever by reading the Holy Bible and learning from God Himself. How is your prayer life? Do you trust in God enough to converse with Him and seek Him for wisdom, answers and healing? You will learn many great things through God’s Word but remember to reach out to Him for answers. He is listening and will give you an answer.
Let us pray:
Lord, I pray that we will all be more mindful to Your commands and read the Bible more often, that You may teach us and lead us in Your ways. So many people are walking blind because they have chosen not to seek You. This saddens me to the very core for I know that these people are living in darkness and will not be ready come judgement day. There will be a reckoning for their souls, because of their evil deeds and what they sought after in the world, outside Your will. I also know that many so-called Christians fall into this category. For many people are Sunday Christians and their lives are not truly for You. This breaks my heart and helps me understand the need for evangelism. As there are few that are saved, I ask, Lord, that You lead me to those people that are waiting. Lead me to the people that just need a friendly wake up call. Help me remind that Your Words are for our day and that You are there and want to help us. I pray that people will turn their hearts to You and seek You for wisdom and knowledge through the Bible and prayer. I know that their eyes will be opened to the truth, if they are open and humble. Thank You for leading me. I love Your words. They have changed my life and I pray that many other people will find the same joy that I have discovered. I love You Lord. Amen.
