One thing that God has put on my heart is that those that love Him will also lift up Jesus. They would never put Him down in any regard. Even when they feel burdened, they know that Jesus is their healer. He is the one that can change the atmosphere and usher in peace. If you instead, often find yourselves cursing God and denying the Lord Jesus, know that this is not of God and you should repent. This path will only lead to destruction. A Spirit led person would never denounce God, even in trials. Paul said, 4“wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.” 2It is true that Peter denied Jesus three times but in that moment, the Spirit was not with him. 3Jesus even had to ask him three times if he loved Him, because of what happened. It was after Peter told the Lord sorry and showed his love for Him once again, was when the Spirit of God did come back into Peter. So it is important to find out where our life is now and if it is not pleasing to God, then we ought to repent. 1“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” This change of heart will put us on solid ground, and lead us to live in the Spirit. While on God’s path we are led to Him and heaven above. However, a life of unbelief and sin is unstable and so is their path. It is foolish to be on a destructive path when you die.
It is so important that we repent and get right with God. This way, we can be used by Him and do His will. And how can we do God’s will? Well, by the Holy Spirit of course. This is God’s gift to us. Now these gifts come in all shapes and sizes. Nobody’s gift is the same. 4“For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. Some of you may say, I’ve never experienced these gifts before. What you say is true among many church goers. However, this does not have to continue. Please understand that 4“the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” Paul does not say that only some gain God’s gifts of the Spirit, everyone in the faith does. But if that is not the case for you, than I will ask you, have you given your life to Jesus and been baptized? If not, then showcase your faith and get baptized. We are baptized in the Spirit and this is where many spiritual gifts begin in people’s lives. For me, God has given me the gift of faith, knowledge, and wisdom. In this, God has given me boldness to share the truth of God with others. Praise God. All the glory to Him, who saves.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I am so grateful for Your Spiritual gifts in my life. I am so amazed that You could change a person like me to do Your will. And in the way You have done it is truly remarkable. Lord, I know it and You know that my speech has not always been the best. My stuttering has killed many conversation before they even could get started. But Lord, all this changed when I began to trust in You. You took my stuttering and gave me words to speak. Instead of mumbling, You filled my mouth with preaching and teaching. I know that I was incapable of this before but You have made it so. Thank You for doing this Lord. I know that You did not have to use a person like me but You have anyways. Wow, You are so amazing. You have taken my weaknesses and turned them around to be my strengths. It is You that fill me up with love and boldness to share the gospel. Thank You for this wisdom. Thank You for this knowledge. You are the one that strengthen my faith daily. I trust in You. It is my ultimate desire that more people come to know You, Jesus. May they come to know You and know of Your love also. You are my hope and my strength. You are my rock and my firm foundation. You are my beloved and whom I gave all praise. I love You. Amen.
