May your hearts be ever lifted up to the Lord in prayer. May this time bring you great joy. It is a blessing from God Almighty to allow us into His presence. To come before the King of Glory is an honor, indeed. How often have you been favored to meet a King and have a conversation with him? We can all say that this doesn’t happen or not all. However, with the Lord God, He is mightier than all. Nothing can compare to His matchless power. He is in one part our King and ruler and another part, our friend. What this means is, everyone that confides in God has full access to His presence. How amazing it is to be one on one with not only a King but the God of the heavens. It is a majestic time we have and we should relish every minute of it. David, loved his times with the Lord, in prayer. If he ever felt alone, he would cry out to God for answers. Hear his prayer, 1“Unto thee will I cry, O Lord my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.” He knew that without the Lord in his life, he would become like any other person. His will to not sin would be difficult. This is the same for each of us. If God is not in our lives, our flesh will eventually take its course. If God is in our lives than we are able to walk apart from the flesh and His Spirit.
If your hearts are down and need help, then raise your voices and call out to the Lord. Speak freely what is on your mind. He beckons us to come to Him. We can feel alone in this world but that is not God’s desire. The joy of the world doesn’t last but His does. Jesus wants to change how we feel inside and act. All He asks is that we trust in Him. Hear David’s prayer, 1“Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” David felt alone but the Lord filled the void. His moment of loneliness only lasted a moment untill God swooped in to help Him. Just like any good father would do, God encouraged Him and gave him hope. This made his heart rejoice, for he was sorrowful but the Lord made him glad. His joy came from something greater than all the world could offer. The happiness he felt was lasting. And not only is God’s love amazing to feel and encounter, it is also eternal. Everyone that believes in Jesus are filled with the Spirit. They are moved with compassion towards others. Just to see someone in pain or suffering will bring us to help them. God not only wants to show us kindness. He also wants to help others through us. 2Stay strong in the Lord, in prayer, that these opportunities happen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I am blessed to be in Your presence. Without You in my life I am empty. I am fallen in nature. My flesh is weak and I am unable to control it on my own. My defenses are down and I have no aid to help me. Only You can lift me up when I am down. You are rock! 2When You are near, my shield of faith is lifted up high. Temptation of the evil one has no power over me. He has no match to Your great power. Be ever so near, all my days. I need You in my life. 2Clothe me with Your armor. I desire to walk in Your Spirit and not the world. I no longer wish to fall into sin but be apart from it and walk in Your love. You are greater than all things. Forgive me and have mercy upon me, Oh Lord. I love You. Amen.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
