All those that die in their sins have no place in God’s kingdom. Jesus said, “I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.” Those that seek the Lord but stay in their sins have not committed their lives to Him. Compare this to a man who is always coming to his family for help. He receives assistance for he doesn’t have much. They kindly give to him. They try to help him find a better job but he doesn’t listen. They offer to help pay for a lower housing apartment but he is content with where he’s at. He doesn’t want to change His life but feel’s comfortable with the love His family has shown him. Then one day, there is no more help to be found. His family wanted to be more than someone who just offered assistance but there was never room in his heart for that. This is the same for our Lord Jesus. He will continue to give us help when we plead for it. He will continue to love us for He is so kind. However, if we never have faith that He will free us from sin we will one day be lost from His presence. There are some that live a life seeking God but never find Him. He was always there but they never opened their hearts to receive Him. To not accept God in our lives is to not accept His sacrifice on the cross. We must know the Lord more than just someone who helps us when times are hard.
Let us look to Jesus on who will be saved. He said, “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” It takes more than just seeking the Lord to enter His glory. We must believe that He is Lord. We must accept Him into our hearts. We must repent and forsake our sins. We must let Him do a work in our lives. We must rediscover Him each day. We must look past ourselves and trust in Him. As we have faith in Him our love for Jesus will grow. Our lives will be more committed to Him. We will do His will. We will love others as we love God. When we fall we will come back to Him. We will reach for His healing hands. We will ask for His forgiveness. The Lord has mercy upon all that believe in Him. Open your heart to the Lord today. Do more than just seek the Lord. Come to Him in prayer often. Live by the Word of God. Give your life over to Him. Accept His grace in your life. Look to Him in all things. Have faith in His will for your life. Make a commitment to follow Him. Accept Jesus as Lord. Believe in Him and you will be saved. Oh Lord, you are the rock on which I stand. You are most important in my life. I believe in You. You have set me free from a life of sin. I am alive in You. Each day I recommit my life to You. I sing to your Holy Name. Let my praises reach You in the heavens above.
John 8:21-26 (NKJV)
21 Then Jesus said to them again, “I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come.”
22 So the Jews said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, ‘Where I go you cannot come’?”
23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
25 Then they said to Him, “Who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.
26 I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him.”
