God loves Zion, which is His kingdom and church on earth. His people are born in her. First Jews and later gentiles, who are born again in the Holy Spirit. We are adopted in as sons and daughters of God. Out of different nations, like Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia, people have come to faith over these many generations, not being Jewish, but still under the same umbrella of Jesus and His kingdom. David wrote, “His foundation is in the holy mountains. The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah. I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.” (Psalm 87:1-4) We ought to give thanks to God for sending His people in all the world into order to reach us with the gospel.
Those who are born again acknowledge that they are now part of Christ and His church. We may say church, but God calls His people Zion also. It is the Lord, our God, that establishes us as His people in Zion. We are written down in the lamb’s book of life. Angels are rejoicing in heaven when even one person out of the ninety and nine is saved. David finished by saying, “and of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her. The Lord shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah. As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.” (Psalm 87:5-7) Raise your hands up high and sing songs of praise, for God has saved you, while bringing you into Zion. You are now His son and daughter in His church. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will understand how fortunate they really are, having been saved out of the midst of this wicked world. We were once vile sinners until You found us, Jesus. We were so lost, not being any different than any other person. But then the Holy Spirit came and changed us from within. Lord, I love your beautiful creation and now appreciate what You have made for us. I am also very appreciative of my health and that I am still alive and well. People can doubt You all they want, but they will still have to give an account to You on judgement day. The Spirit declares that You are one God, and that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist in You. I will never understand how the trinity works perfectly, for You are all mighty and majestic and nobody can understand You perfectly. I am only Your servant, bringing souls to You for salvation. I love You. I give You glory and praise for adopting me into Zion. Amen.
I am thankful to the Jews. We need to stand up for them and support God’s Chosen People in any way we can.
