If you have fallen into sin, don’t justify it but come to the Lord in prayer. Confess your sins and God’s mercy is for you. John knew this was important and also taught, “my little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:1-2)
The admonition from John is that we sin not. This may seem impossible, but when we abide in Jesus, we cannot sin willfully. However, we know that our flesh is weak, so that is why constant pray and confession are necessary. Jesus Christ is the advocate between us and the Father. Through His blood, which was shed for us on the cross, there is mercy and forgiveness. He died to save every person in this world. They just need to look to Him in faith and they can be saved. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I know that only You can help me stop sinning. The devil wants me to believe that because everyone sins it must be ok. This is a life from the pit of hell and I pray that I will never remain in my sins. With every transgression I commit, I know there is a way out. Not a way to justify it further and remain in my sinful state, but to be set free. And who the Son sets free, He is free indeed. You are have placed me on Your righteous and I am safe. Thank You, Lord. I love You. Amen.
