Faith

To have faith in Jesus is the most important thing we can do in this life. Nothing is more important than submitting our lives to the Lord. For this reason, I write daily about my Savior and my King. He has saved me from hell to come and has safely secured me on His path that leads to heaven above. Praise be to God for saving a wretch like me. I don’t deserve God’s love, but He still shows it to me as if I never sinned. He is so patient with me. How merciful is my God, whom I put my whole trust in. I may not have been around when the Bible was written, but His words pierce my heart each time I read, therefore I know it is true. Even in prayer, I cannot see God physically, but know for certain He is listening to every prayer that is offered up to Him. This is because my faith is like what the writer of Hebrews mentioned in chapter 11. It reads, “now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11:1-3) Amen. Let your faith be like this also in our Lord Jesus and you shall be saved. God knows your heart for or against Him. May it be for Him and His glory.

The writer of Hebrews mentions many people in the times of the Old Testament that had faith in God within this same chapter. Here are just a few of those verses for context. “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” (Hebrews 11:4-7) Wouldn’t it be awesome if this was spoken of you in the Holy Bible? Just know that although your name is not written in the Bible, your faith is recorded in your own book in heaven. From this book, you will be judged and receive your rewards because of your faith or be punished because of your lack of faith. So trust in Jesus until the end. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I thank You for saving me. I was so lost before You found me. I was heading down the path of destruction, but You caught hold of me just in time. It was as if I was jumping off a cliff and not even realizing it, but You caught hold of me and placed me on Your holy and righteous path which leads to heaven. You are so good, God. How can anyone deny that You are Lord and alive? You speak to me so often when I read the Bible, pray, and do Your will on earth. It is like I am hearing, “well done, keep up the good work, my son”. Thank You, Lord, for trusting in me. I never wish to go behind Your back again and do my own things. I have learned my lesson well when it comes to going after the lusts of the flesh instead of obeying You. Your wrath is real, for this reason, I fear the Lord. Yes, God, I respect and honor You so much as to not go down the same path again which leads to destruction. After this life, I only wish to hear the words in person, “well done, keep up the good work, my son”. Then, I will know that my life was completed as You purposed for my life. I could choose other things that would bode well physically, but all that does nothing for me if I do not have You in the next life. I wish to fulfill every opportunity You have for me. That is why I seek Your wisdom daily. I love You. Amen.
