Qualities Of Our Lord

God is so merciful and just. His longsuffering and mercy have no end. No matter what we have done, there is forgiveness. He is the one who whites the slate to our past and writes it anew with our new life in Christ. This means a clear conscience before God and man. However, for those who do not repent, God also visits in His wrath. Their secretive and willful sins are known by the Lord and their children are affected greatly by this. It is written, “and the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.” (Exodus 34:5-7) Now that you know how good God is, give Him glory and praise!

Every one of us should know how good our God really is. He has our back and will do anything for those who truly believe in His Name. I say truly, for the Lord is looking for genuine Christians who really love Him with all their hearts, mind, and strength. Moses was one of these types of individuals and you can see this by his actions with God. After the Lord spoke to Moses for a bit, he had a minute to kneel down and worship the Lord and also ask Him forgiveness. The people in Israel had really gotten wicked with their idolatry and Moses was so humble to pray for them. This way God would pardon their iniquity as they repent. It is written, “and Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.” (Exodus 34:8,9) As Christians, we should be found praying for people who are unsaved. Our prayers can do a lot. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, You are so good. Truly, Your mercy endures forever. There is no end to Your goodness and grace. I am indebted to You for Your forgiveness and for adopting me into Your fold. I don’t deserve Your love for me, but still, You extend it to someone that could have easily been shunned because of what I have done. I was once under Your wrath, but that is all gone now. I am now under grace. The feelings You bring into my life are like nothing I have ever felt before. Your peace and serenity are real. I feel so uplifted after I pray and read the Bible. Doing Your will afterward brings me so much joy. I love talking with You, Lord. So often have I felt an immediate response in the chills I feel all over my body. This makes me want to rejoice and praise Your holy Name that much more. You deserve the glory and praise. Lord, although I have done work in Your kingdom I don’t wish for anyone to give me the recognition for those things. You should be recognized instead. I love You, Jesus. You are the reason I have done anything good in this life. Amen.
