9th Article Of Faith In Mormonism Exposed

Mormons are leaving out a lot when it comes to their 9th article of faith. It reads, “we believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.” (Articles Of Faith) Now, let’s properly examine what their article of faith actually says and means. What they don’t tell you in their statement of faith is that they are speaking of the apostles and prophets in their church. However, this is mostly concerning their latter-day prophets, which teach that people should heed and follow them and their counsel for mankind. Even if it means that these people teach things that are contrary to the Bible, you are to still believe it. The truth of the matter is that prophets are not leading any church today. The only person leading a church is Jesus, although God uses us differently. As for Joseph Smith, he had countless numbers of false prophesies while saying he was a prophet. You can read about those false prophesies HERE.

See for yourself that the importance of the laws of Moses, and prophets leading God’s people, ended with John. The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.” (Luke 16:16) Those that are filled with the Spirit of God are now pressing into the kingdom of God, for it is in them. God once had a need to speak to us through His prophets as you will see in the following verse. “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.” (Hebrews 1:1,2) The truth of the matter is that God has poured out His Spirit upon the earth and it is being manifested in many different people of all different ages and in all the world. Prophesies are coming to pass. Revivals are happening and people are being set free in the name of Jesus. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said in the Mormon church. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people in the Mormon faith will come to realize that there are actual gifts of the Spirit for people and just people who claim to be prophets. How being a part of Your church does not have to be dull and without any form of enthusiasm or energy. God, every time I’ve entered a Mormon church all I ever saw was people being quiet, which they call reverence. This continues in their temples, where saying anything during their sessions is spoken against. This is so different in comparison to Christian churches. To hear people cry out Amen, love You Jesus, worship You God, with hands raised up high in praise, is normal. God, when You move in our lives, we can’t help but call upon Your Name, even when people are present. This is especially true at church. Lord, You are doing a work in our generation like in centuries past. People are coming to You through revivals, signs and wonders, worship, studying the Bible, and more. You have done mighty miracles through me and many others as these are signs of Your second coming. Thank You for using us in Your church and Your kingdom. I love You, Lord. Amen.
