Baptisms and other works for the dead are simply heresy. This is easily seen just by reading from the Book of Revelation. It teaches that people who have died and are wicked are cast off into the lake of fire, which is the second death. This is after judgment is set in. There are no more second chances after death. They are unable to receive any proxy works for them done from the LDS temples, for they are now in hell, awaiting their sentence come judgment day. This is when Jesus will cast those in hell into the lake of fire. “And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” (Revelation 20:13,14) These teachings are vital to Christianity but are looked at as false in Mormonism. There is something very wrong with this picture.
In the great white throne judgment, the sea is paradise, which is where God’s people go come death. They have no reason to fear, for the new heaven and new earth is their eternal destination after judgment. Hell is where the wicked go when they die. They are tormented in flames of fire and sit in fear of judgment. They will be found out guilty in the sight of Jesus, which means the lake of fire. “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31) Speaking of those who were worthy to enter the new earth, it is written, “and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4) It will be so wonderful to be with God, the angels, and the saints of God in this new earth. What we think is joyful cannot compare to this place.
Jesus said, “it is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” (Revelation 21:6,7) How wonderful it will be for those who are saved through their faith alone in Jesus. This has led them to be alive for Him and not the world. As for those of the world, it is written, “but the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) If Mormons simply understood these verses they would stop all their works for dead people, for they are in vain. You cannot have proxy works for dead people and also believe in a literal hell and lake of fire for the wicked. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will allow You to judge the dead and not think that they have any right to change their destination. Mormons really have some nerve to play god, while doing work for dead people in their wicked temples. God, I am still waiting for the day when these temples will crumble and fall to the ground. This day may not happen in my lifetime, but surely before Your coming, Jesus. Do these religious people not realize that there is a literal hell for the wicked? How they will be tormented day and night in flames of fire? If they think they are going to take them out of hell with their works for the dead, they have something coming to them. Lord, help more of these people know that their version of Spirit Prison does not exist. More people are not going to heaven, but to hell. As Your word says, hell has enlarged itself. And I fear that Mormons are going there also. Wake them up, Jesus. I trust in You. Amen.
