Teach Your Children About God And His Laws

Give ear to the Lord God on a daily basis. Know Him and His laws for mankind. Incline thine ears to God’s Words in scripture. Not just by reading the Bible, but by living it out. Remember to open your mouth and tell your family what you are learning. Get them involved also. It is vital to be an example in the faith of Jesus when it comes to being around our children. Do not keep this love for the Lord to yourself. This is selfish. This way, the generation to come will be even stronger when it comes to their faith in God. May your children also praise the Lord and do His will as you do. David wrote, “Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.” (Psalm 78:1-4)

God established a law through Moses that is still relevant to us today. This law is called “The Ten Commandments”. Learn them and keep them sacred in how you live your life for God. But most of all, teach your children the commandments and also what Jesus and His disciples taught us in scripture. This way your children and their children will know the Lord and be saved. Let’s not forget God and His commands for our lives. Lastly, David also said this when it comes to God. “For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.” (Psalm 78:5-7) If you truly love God and have children, then teach them to know Him and be saved. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that more people will come to faith. The gospel is being preached in all the world, but we need a revival. Too many people have dead faith and need something to stir it up once again. As for me, I am honored to be a light to people on social media and in person. I am especially grateful for my wife and two daughters. God, help my children know You themselves. As I bring You up in conversation, may their interest be perked. All I desire is that they come to faith and that they may raise up seed to know You also. This is a generational thing that I pray continues from my family onward. You saved me from a cult and placed me in a saving faith with You. Now I pray that my children will not go back to what You took me out of. Surely, Our faith in You does not have to be complicated. Your grace is sufficient, not the many works that people make up. Lord, I love Your commandments, even the ones that You gave to Moses. Your ways are my ways. I honor You. I love You. Amen.

  1. Amen! It is essential to speak to your family about these things whether you’re speaking to your parents or your siblings or their children or your children. People have got to know about Jesus Christ and His gospel before it’s too late. Time is already running out.
