The Counsel Of The Lord Standeth For Ever

People who purposely disregard themselves from God are called “heathen”. These are those of whom God causes their counsels and evil doings to come to naught. I see this lifestyle within my family, which is very sad. Even with people who say they believe in Jesus, but live each day purposely without Him. To seek God’s face doesn’t exist and telling them to Seek God first, they are despised and told to knock it off. People who look to God daily are blessed. Nations who are known to believe in God are also blessed even more so by the Lord. God has chosen His people and they know Him. David wrote, “the Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” (Psalm 33:10-12) I pray that you are one of God’s people who look to Him in faith daily, for you are blessed.

The truth is, the majority of people on this earth are unsaved. Many do try to have good works in their lives but have forgotten God in all these dealings. They have trusted in their own flesh outside of God and therefore will be judged according to their works and not God’s works in their lives. No person in this life can save a person’s soul from destruction. Even if that person is a king or queen, or president, it doesn’t help them. Their high stature in this life means nothing in the next if Jesus was not their Lord and Savior. It is written, “the Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.” (Psalm 33:13-16) God can see this earth and knows it is as evil as in the times of Noah. Therefore, only people who get into the ark, who is Jesus Christ, will be saved. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that more people will be saved in this world, even though it is more wicked than in the times of Noah. With the eyes that You have given me, I can see the good in this world, but also the evils in so many people. Even in my family’s lives, I can how lost they have become. Because they have put other things ahead of You, God, I have to remind them often to follow You. The unfortunate thing is that my words fall upon dead ears more than not. I am looked at as a Jesus freak instead of someone who diligently wants to help them come to know You, Jesus. Lord, the evils of this world are so real, why can’t people see this? Why have people seen a person who loves God as someone they despise? Do people really love and treat others who are evil more than people who are for You, God? I want to reach people, but it seems that people’s closed-mindedness makes it difficult. Help me, Lord. I trust in You, God. I love You. Amen.

  1. Amen! We need tro be in Jesus and be one with Jesus and to have Him in us in order to be saved. We need to do as a style of life the will of the Father in order to go to heaven. There are many that go to hell and there are few there that go to heaven. We need to examine our lives and take counsel from God and seek His face to see if we’re saved. We need Jesus.
