Street Evangelizing: 09/11/2021 (Gay Pride Festival)

Today was a beautiful day for the Lord in the harvest. After hearing about the Gay Pride Festival this weekend on the news, I felt very strongly to go to it, not to attend, but to be a witness for Christ. What I was to do out there was still be seen once I got downtown Boise. I had my microphone and speaker ready to preach with but that didn’t go as planned. After arriving downtown, I talked with some cops that were there and they told me I needed a permit to use amplification anywhere in the Boise area. So I did what I love and that was one on one witnessing with people and passing out gospel tracts. Before I left I had filled my backpack with over three hundred tracts (The Grace That Saves, Are You A Good Person, Million Dollar Bill), along with a hundred Daily Christian Devotional cards. The devotional cards I slipped into each tract, which I thought would be awesome since people could get a gospel track and website to get daily devotionals and more. So I began speaking to different individuals, some coming directly to me after hearing me talk to different people about Jesus. And yes, since it was a gay pride festival, most people’s questions were if I was affirming of the homosexual lifestyle and if not, am I there to condemn the people because of their sins, and if I really loved them. As people came to me and asked these different questions and others, I assured them that I love them. That we are all sinners needing Jesus’s blood to cover us and heal and change our lives. How He is our great physician, able to make us clean through our confessions.

In Mark, chapter 2, Jesus was approached by scribes and Pharisees about spending time with sinners. It was here that we learn that Jesus came to bring sinners to repentance. That is why spent His time with them. It is written, “and it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Mark 2:15-17) I shared these passages and also the passage in Romans 1, where it says that homosexuality is sinful in God’s eyes. But the point of all this was not to condemn anyone, for Jesus is the judge in all things. I am only His messenger. I helped people understand that heterosexuals sin when they look at pornography, have sex outside of marriage, and when they commit adultery. That all sin is the same in God’s eyes. Homosexuality is not worse than the sins I just mentioned. What is important is that we realize when we are in sin, then come to God in our confessions. Then, can He not only forgive us but transform our lives into doing His will. Praise God for all the people I was able to talk to, as well as all the people who willingly took the gospel tracts. I am happy to report that every tract was passed out. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that many of the people I reached today at the Gay Pride Festival will be saved. That they will come to a saving knowledge of You, Jesus, and repent of their sins. It was awesome talking with the many different young men and women, who are simply confused about their sexuality. If they would just submit their lives to You, then they would know how sinful their actions are. Just like we are in sin as heterosexuals when we look at pornography, have sex outside of marriage, or commit adultery. Thank You for helping me understand that I am no better than homosexuals when I do such things. I am not any better if I willfully sin against You, Lord, and do not repent. Therefore, I pray that every professing Christian will also give up their sinful actions and submit their lives entirely to You, Lord. I don’t wish for anybody to die and wake up in hell. But I know this is happening every day, and every hour in this world, as I speak. I often wonder why people choose to do evil, instead of obeying You. But then again, if people disregard You and Your words in the Bible, then they allow themselves to be naïve in their sins, which is very sad. So Lord, wake us all up to our sins. Not only homosexuals but heterosexuals also. We all need You to come into our lives, in order to be completely changed and transformed by Your perfect will. This is the message I brought to the Gay Pride Festival today, of which I pray that many people will turn from their sins and be saved. I love You, Lord. You are my God and I will serve You until the end. I give You praise and honor, this day and forever. Amen.
