False Prophets Are Led By A Different Spirit

There is a way in life that we can know if we are on God’s side and not on Satan’s. It is if we are led by the Holy Spirit and not by other spirits that appear good but are really evil. This is important to think about, for false prophets come into the world by way of evil spirits. John said, “beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:1-4) Here we learn that the evil spirits will not say that Jesus has come in the flesh, but other things about Jesus that are untrue. Saying things like, Jesus and the Father, who has a body, created the earth. That we should not worship Jesus, but the Father. That Jesus and Lucifer are brothers. These are all lies, however, we learn such things in the Mormon Church. They have the spirit of anti-Christ based on their man-made teachings of Jesus.

1. Jesus is the creator of all things heaven and earth, of which He does all things through the Father in Spirit. If Jesus is the creator of all things heaven and earth, He cannot also be Lucifer’s brother.

Colossians 1:12-17 (KJV)
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

2. We can worship Jesus along with the Father. Jesus accepted worship and never rebuked people for worshipping Him.

Matthew 28:8-17 (KJV)
8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

3. The Father is Spirit and we are to worship Him in Spirit and truth.

John 4:21-24 (KJV)
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

We know from the Bible that Jesus is our Lord, our God, and our creator. Such a person as this deserves our worship and our praise. No one is like our God. People that live for the Lord, are not of the world, for they are His children. We can hear His voice an we follow Him, even all the days of our lives do we do this with joy. The Spirit of truth and error is what helps us know what is good and what is evil. We cling to what is of God and throw out the rest. Even with false religions like Mormonism, we don’t go about being rude or mean to these people, but treat them the same way Jesus would. With love to do we witness God’s truths to them. God is love and with Him in our lives we are able to love every person, no matter their religious background. Peter said, “they are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love..” (1 John 4:5-8) I have family in the Mormon faith and pray for them often to receive Jesus, that they will allow Him to remove every false way from their lives. God is good and will answer this prayer in different ways, depending on how open my family is for the gospel truths. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will open their eyes to the truths and errors in this world. So many people think they are being led by You, but really have Satan on their side. Their false beliefs are leading them down a path that does not save them. This is because their eyes are closed off to You, God. I wish that people would have ears to hear, but I am afraid that too many of these people are lost in their unbeliefs. Their hearts are already closed off to You, and to Your messengers. How can this change, Lord? What can I do to help bring people to You, though it seems impossible at times? You know my family and how many of them are Mormon and closed off to what I have to share with them. However, I can sense a change in one of my sisters. Recently, she has let me share the gospel with her and her family and I am so grateful. Thank You, Lord. I love our times together. They are so fruitful. What you do in my life always contains so much fruit and I am so joyous afterward. I love Your ways. Lord, as I continue to proclaim the good news of the gospel to people, I ask that You open my mouth and fill it with Your words to speak. Use me for Your glory. May I never say or do things on my own right. The Holy Spirit is what I need to lead anyone to You. The words I speak on my own can do nothing good. I need Your help. Lead me, Lord. Keep me apart from the wicked, that I might not stumble and fall. I love You, Lord. Amen.

  1. Amen this is so very good. False Prophets are indeed servants of Satan and they speak by Satan’s voice or the voices of his minions. False Prophets need to be stopped and they should be incarcerated and executed. Mr Nelson is one of the worst false Prophets that have ever existed on this planet.
