What Do You Watch And Play On TV?

What is on your TV? Would Jesus be ok with the things you watch and do on your TV? If not, then there is something very wrong with your purpose for it. My friends, if you are not using what you have to glorify God, then who else is being glorified instead? It is your own flesh, that is who. And because of this, we need to make sure that what we see and do doesn’t offend the Holy Spirit, and instead bring in demonic spirits into our homes. Now, so you can know if what you are watching is good or not, I have put together a list of bad things to not do and good things to do. These bad things include foul language, violence, horror, crude humor, immodest women or sex scenes (porn), homosexuality or gay pride, drugs, drinking, witchcraft or sorcery, aliens, and anything you would not wish your children or God to watch you see. Now, if you are thinking to yourself, man, that describes what I watch to the “T”, then you ought to repent and come to Jesus in your confessions. Now, this may make you wonder what is good to watch and play on TV. Those things are sports in moderation, instructional videos for work or home, documentaries, certain musicals and plays that are uplifting, orchestras, operas and other forms of wholesome music, sermons, Christian ministries, Bible-based movies and TV shows, shows that will help our children seek God first, and other forms of inspirational content that uplifts us to better our relationship with our spouse, children, and our walk with God.

These things I mentioned are good to watch on TV and will help you seek God first in your life, instead of what pleases the flesh. Jesus said, ¹“seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33) Please think about what was taught. You may have your own ideas on what to and not watch or play on TV, so please mention them in the comments field below. Use what I said as a guideline, but not the final verdict. I only mention the things above, because my life has been radically changed for God. My music choices have also been changed, according to God’s will. Where I now only prescribe to music with the following, instrumental, opera, Bible audio, Christian radio stations, Christian Music, uplifting music, and other forms of inspirational music. Because of the change with TV, I also do not wish to have any worldly music in my life anymore. So I read the lyrics of songs and only listen to things that help my walk with God. Therefore, please decide to cancel listening to other types of worldly music. Mind you, I am not perfect in what I say and do, so if there are other good choices of music for Christians, please mention these types of music in the comments field below.

My friends, if you decide today to seek God first, then your TV and music choices will change dramatically. This will intern point you to God, where you will have much more time to read the Bible, pray, and go out and serve God. You may have been tied down with things in life before, but this will open your life up to new possibilities in God’s kingdom. Even by seeking God first in your life, you will begin to gain different Spiritual gifts, where even some weaknesses will become your strengths when it comes to being used by God. Now, in all things, you have a choice to make. Do you wish to live out your life for the Lord or not? Everything I discussed in this message is important, but only important for people that are willing to lay down their life for Christ. If Jesus is not the center point of your life, then this will be hard to take in and accomplish. There will be struggles if God is not the one helping you accomplish your newfound goals in life. Think of what I mentioned above as more than a yearly resolution, but a new way of thinking, because you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. You are now born again and can think and see things more clearly. God bless you.

Oh Lord, I pray that You will open people’s eyes to their sins and to confess their sins openly to You in prayer. Then, will they be desirous to do Your will instead. Too many people are focused on gratifying their own flesh, where Your will is being dishonored daily. People don’t even realize that their bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, and if they do, they are mocking You in how they choose to live their lives If people are not seeking You in what they do and watch, then they ought to repent. I ask You, Lord, to wake people up to their sinful lifestyle. Help them realize that You can see and hear everything that is happening in their lives. So what they watch on TV, the computer, their phone or tablet, You can see it also. Even their music choices, You can hear it also. And if it is not uplifting and good for the Spirit of God, to dwell in then it is only leading them on a path of destruction. I am saddened to talk to many people that say they are Christians, but don’t give You much or any time during the day. Instead, they’d rather watch their favorite shows, movies, or play video games. It is like I have to remind people to seek You first in their lives, or else they forget. So it is my prayer that people no longer have to make it a goal to read the Bible daily or pray often, but to have this become a part of who they are for You. Surely, people either love You or they don’t. We cannot put on a certain face at church and a different one during the week. If we love and honor You, then our lives would be dedicated to follow You and to do as You say. This should motivate more and more people to get into the Word daily, that they may know what You desire for our lives now. We can think up things on our own, but if it is not Your will, then it is good for nothing. Lord, we need You to lead us and not our own selves. I believe in You. I love You. Amen.

1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
