Jesus Is My Rock And My Salvation

My heart burns for Jesus. He has become my rock and my salvation. It is the Lord that gives me the strength I need to carry on. I can’t make it through life on my own, but through Christ who strengthens me daily. Without Him I am weak and will only stumble throughout this life, while making bad decisions and falling more deeper and deeper into sin. And because I love the Lord with all my heart, I could never do this, for I would betray my one true love. So my life is built upon Jesus, who I elevate in the highest praise. As David said, 1“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.” (Psalm 89:1) Oh, how His love comes over me when I seek His face. I am lifted up in His peace and comfort. What joy there is in the Lord, our God, who loves us more than we will ever know. And 1“who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?” (Psalm 89:6) The answer is nobody is like our God, and therefore, only His presence will ever help us. Surely, there are many fake people in this world, but only Jesus is genuine in what He wants to do for our lives. Speaking of our Lord, and our God, 1“Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.” (Psalm 89:14,15) Those that follow Jesus are eternally blessed. These are those that experience the greatest joy in this life and the next. Surely, only Jesus can lead a person in sin from death and unto life eternal.

In this life there is only one person that can defend us from the enemy and that is our Lord God. As David said, 1“the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.” (Psalm 89:18) Nobody else can deflect the fiery darts from the devil, but God, who is able to dwell inside of us. Then, are we protected through His armor that He places in our lives. Those that have this protection from God, also give Him the glory and thanks. He is the first person that they seek and find comfort in. This is because they have cried out to the Lord and said, 1“thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.” (Psalm 89:26) Now, with all the good things that God is, He also has to punish the wicked. It was God that told David, 1“if his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.” (Psalm 89:29-32) The same can be said for anyone that says they love the Lord, but willfully walks in the ways of sin. These people break His commandments and don’t even realize that they are disrespecting the Lord, our God, when they do this. Because they are blinded by the temptations of the devil, they can no longer decipher what is right and what is wrong. Therefore, only true faith in God can lead us to have God’s armor and be protected. If you say you love the Lord, then repent of your sins and allow the blood of Jesus to cover your life. Only then can you walk in His light also. It is my prayer that you give God praise by word and in deed. Then, will you glorify the Lord and give him true honor and praise.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will come to know You personally. You have become my rock and my salvation, but I fear that many people that say they believe are not truly on Your side. Instead of real faith that has fruits of the Spirit along with it, I am seeing people that walk willfully in their sins. They say that they are saved by grace and that their faith is enough. Surely, these people are blinded, Oh Lord. Because they justify what they are doing, they are not searching the scriptures, in order to know if they are in the right or not. Your words in the bible would convict these people of their wickedness and lead them to repentance, if they would just read. So I pray for an awakening of the Spirit. May these people truly repent and allow Your blood to cover them. Then, will they be set free and begin to walk faithfully in Your sight. This will give You true honor through their words and deeds. I know that our way of life can never be good if we leave You out of it. Therefore, I pray that you will become a priority in their daily activities also. May they fit You in and give You a chance at saving them. By disregarding this, any praise and worship from them their mouths is false. So Lord, raise these people up to walk in Your light. Give them over to love You and Your commands also. Then, will they begin to seek You daily and rejoice in Your great Name. For true are Your words and what You can do for our lives. There is mercy in Your hands, of Lord, and I am grateful to be forgiven and be made right in Your sight. I don’t love what the world has, but what You can give me. I need less of me and more of You in my life. So fill me with Your goodness and grace. Lead me on Your path of righteousness forevermore. I believe in You. I love You. Amen.
