Heartfelt Prayers To God

If anyone wants true healing in their lives, it first takes faith in God and then confession of your sins to Him. And this pouring out to God is more than words but a heartfelt desire to be cleansed and be made new in Christ Jesus. We don’t just pray a prayer hoping that God will forgive us, when our desires are not to change our lives. If our real desire is not to turn from our sins, then the Lord will not hear our prayers, for it is not meaningful to Him. As was spoken by the blind man that received sight, he taught, 1“now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. (John 9:31) May these words start to sink in. If all you’ve ever done was pray a good prayer but continue to live a life of sin, then there is a problem with that. In prayer, we don’t come out of it seeking to continue in sin, but to sin no more. In our cries, we know that we cannot control the flesh and need help. We are weak and need a Savior, who is Christ the Lord, to take over in our lives. This is what God is looking for in any person that desires to follow Him and do His will. For how can we expect to give Him the proper worship and praise, when our lifestyle is sinful? Also, how can we even know God’s will if the Holy Spirit is absent in our lives? The answer is that we cannot, until God first cleanses us from the inside out. Then can the Spirit dwell inside of us and guide us, through His light, in this dark world that we live in. Sure, temptations will still stir up bad thoughts in our minds, but with God on our side we can overcome them and allow Him take them captive, before they take control of us. It is this time that we invoke the Lord God in prayer and allow His presence to take over our lives.

I pray that you will understand the need of getting yourselves right with God and eventually put the Lord Jesus at the head of your lives. This is something I pray that everyone will eventually do, before time is up. Now, if you are someone that is looking inward and thinking that God doesn’t love you because of all your sins, then you have a surprise coming. Know that the Lord loves you and wants to heal your life, starting today. Nothing you have ever done will keep you from His mercy and grace. Your first steps are to simply call upon God in your confessions. In sorrow, ask for forgiveness and a cleansing to take place in your life. Also, ask Him to tear down any walls that have been put up over the years, that you may forgive others the same way He does. This is our time to make right the wrongs in our lives with God. All our walls are torn down and as much as we want forgiveness from God, we are now eager to give it also. Having this desire to live differently will help God know that you are true to your words and want the Holy Spirit in your life. Therefore, if this is your desire, then it is pure and God will do a mighty work in your life. All your old desires to do drugs, party, get drunk, look at porn, have sex outside of marriage and live in adultery will be no more. In place of these things, God will give you new desires to love one another and to help anyone that is in need. This can include counseling a brother or sister in the faith, witnessing your faith with others, helping those in need, and serving in your church. How wonderful your life will be when you finally repent and give all your sins to God. Know that this is a valiant choice and God will honor you in your wishes.

Let us pray:
Lord, I know that You are God and is waiting for us all to call upon Your Name. It may have taken me a while to learn this, but I am so happy that I finally understood what this finally means. Now I am made free because of Your blood, which was shed for the sins of the world on the cross. I am no longer looking inward, but have Your awesome presence in my life now. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Lord. In the past, I thought I knew what was right, but my life was never good and my willful sins detracted from my ability to seek You. Every time I prayed, but continued in that same wicked lifestyle, I felt more trapped and shameful than ever. This is when I finally learned that all I was doing was trying to better myself on my own. I had no way out, for this reason was I failing miserably and did not have Your presence in my life. I also prayed to You God, but it was never sincere until the day I was broken. This was when I needed a Savior to help me, where I cannot. I needed You to take away the lust from my eyes and keep me away from the evils of sexual sin. I was tired of doing things that made me sick to the stomach later on. So I thank You Lord for hearing a sinner, such as me. In my sorrows, was I finally ready to receive You in my life. I am in such a better place now with my marriage and family because of You, Lord. Even my thoughts are more in line with Your, because Your Spirit is with me. Surely, I am lost without You, Lord. I am not sure what I would ever do if you had not answered my prayers. I love You so much God. Amen.

John 9 (KJV)
And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.
Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?
He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.
And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.
And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.
These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples.
We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
